Hi, Norm Matloff here. I’m a professor of computer science at the University of California, Davis, and formerly was a statistics professor at that university, but I also write about social issues. As the saying goes, “My life is an open book”–you can read the details of my background in my online bio.

I'm sure you are aware there are those here on FR who will be highly critical of your labor and a constant source of discouragement to your cause.
I can assure they do so out of clear jealousy much more than their feigned righteousness about protecting FR from self serving bloggers only interested in getting hits on their site. Thankfully such are few, but do manage to show up, to display their Green-eyed monster.
Congratulations on your decision and Good Luck in your battle against those who would destroy our Free Republic, presuming that being a freeper, such is the focus of your project.
Before the internet enabled bloggers to share their thoughts online they were limited to exposing themselves at people in bus stations.
