The ISIS Iraq-Syria caliphate – Institute for the Study of War
ISIS claims their caliphate extends from Aleppo, Syria to Diyala in Iraq.
ISIS spokesman Shekh Abu Muhammad al-Adnani announced today the establishment of the Caliphate in Iraq-Syria and appointment of Abu Bakr as caliph.

Under Islamic law, jizya or jizyah is a per capita tax levied on non-Muslim subjects.

Yes, they have to submit to him, or destroy him, with not much middle ground. And islam has just lost its excuses. The caliphate can’t blame colonialism or western influence for internal problems.
