Unless I’m reading it incorrectly, the conversation between the two Taliban has them talking about capturing Bergdahl as he’s taking a dump during an attack on his base.

It may just be that that was the position telling them who he was since he couldn't defend himself in that position.
Makes sense to me. And the whole thing was pre-planned. Remember, he was looking for the Taliban.

This is why Bergdahl needs his day in court.
- He could have been against the war and walked off the base of his own free will, or
- He could have been against the war and was captured in the latrine on the base
One is desertion, the other is just a bad attitude and bad luck.

OTOH - I would like to know how secure the database is that contained this information. Has this information been planted recently?

I don't think that's correct because they also talk about Bergdahl walking about with a camera and asking for anyone who could speak English. He stopped to go to the bathroom and was captured before he could wipe. I think the reference to the attack on Americans may have been what they were planning, not what hey actually carried out.
