The fastest you could possibly make E5 in the active USAF was 4’years. That isn’t even possible today. You didn’t mention WAPS testing, so I’m not sure I believe your clams without clarification.

I had a mix of active and reserve. Lots of folks here on FR were around when I re-enlisted after 9/11.

I was a cook (services specialist) the second enlistment.

I did and it was easy, I was only the one in my unit to be promoted to E-6 and the only one on base to E-7.
