I encourage him every chance I get. He even learned how to make hard-boiled eggs, so I call him the Chef! He says an egg is gone in two bites, and I told him to nibble it and make it last longer!

He never drank water before he was on this diet, and now he makes sure that he drinks eight full glasses a day. He was able to choose his own foods for July, so that has made a difference, as well. It cost him $20 extra, but since a lot of the last month’s food was soups, he opted not to get any.

And it’s coming out of Reno by FedEx, so it should be here tomorrow. He is excited! He loves to get things delivered to his door! LOL!

Afternoon, epople. We went to The Salvation Army and got clothes for Sally’s trip to Jamaica. If she ends u[ leaving them all behind for the needy of Jamaica, we’ll have lost about $12.

Somehow, I never did get my papers sorted today.

I took some Ibuprofen before my shower, and it helped to ease the pain, but didn’t give me any incentive. So I’m going over my bill-paying and grocery lists so I can cut back on whatever I can, with the car repairs looming in the darkness, and as a result, the “plans” for the day went by the wayside.

I’m hoping the temp is below 90 when I leave in the morning. Nutz. I forgot to include cab fare... *sheesh*

I’m reading a book by BD Hyman called, “My Mother’s Keeper,” about Bette Davis. What an eye-opener! She never stopped acting, even at home. What a nasty person she was.

I think they’re trying to get by on a single carry-on bag each, so we’ll have to squish stuff in. It’s a shame she has such big feet ...

I need to ask those who have been there about things like laundry soap. It might be they’ll have to buy it in Jamaica. I suppose tiny bottles of liquid hand soap would do in a pinch; detergent powder would dissolve for cold washing in the sink.
