Water-packed, or oil-packed? Pickled?

Pickled cat is usually a bit sluggish.
You may even have to spoon it.

That describes Jake this morning. Extremely viscous.

It’s 90 degrees at 0535 and the high is predicted to be 115. The monsoon moisture is creeping up from the south and will be here by the weekend. Once the rains start, the weather will cool off a few degrees, but the trade-off is humidity.
We do have a little breeze, but I will have to shower before I go out in the weather.
I never did hear from the repair shop yesterday so I guess I’ll have to call them today and see what a diagnostic will cost me. I really need my truck, especially with my hips the way they are. I have no idea what the walk to Walmart will do to me, but I will do what has to be done.

I just called the repair shop and they can’t look at the truck until Monday, and the diagnostic will cost $60. I hope it’s as simple as a loose wire.
After a hot shower, and “breakfast,” I’m ready to sort through papers. YAY!
Busdaddy has lost a total of 26.8 pounds in the three weeks his diet has been in effect. I’m proud of him. He walks and does the Gazelle Edge, and is determined to “win.” The one drawback is that his BP is all over the place, so the doctor adjusted one of his BP meds. He stopped taking one of them altogether.
I will be getting boxes tomorrow, so I can box up some books and empty out the china hutch for Busdaddy to take. It will be nice to have a little more room.

That’s not an unusual result for a big man on a weight-loss plan. Make sure to encourage him when it inevitably slows!
