It’s the additional fee because of the turtle that was the breaking point there.

And as for the health of the land, well managed grazing animals IMPROVE land quality. That’s been shown again and again.

From 1934 to 1993, the Bundy family held a grazing agreement and paid grazing fees for part of the old Bunkerville Allotment. That's where the Bundy family was grazing his cattle in 1993.

Now, Bundy is grazing his cattle in the old Bunkerville Allotment, the BLM's Gold Butte area, and National Park System land within the Overton Arm and Gold Butte areas of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The Bundy family never paid for access to the Gold Butte or Overton Arm areas.
