Three members of a Mission family are facing criminal charges after allegedly going after their teenage daughter's boyfriend with a loaded rifle and a baseball bat.
Mission police arrested Baldomero Cortes, his wife Ana Maria Cortes and their son Artemio Cortes on Sunday afternoon.
Investigators told Action 4 News that the family did not approve of their 17-year-old daughter's 21-year-old boyfriend.
Mission police said her brother Artemio went to the boyfriend's house on Rancho del Rey Street and smashed the windows with a baseball bat on Sunday.
Artemio Cortes allegedly came back with his parents looking for the 17-year-old girl.
Investigators said all three of them forced their way into the boyfriend's home and confronted his family demanding the girl.
Police said Baldomero Cortes pointed a loaded rifle at his daughter's boyfriend and threatened to kill him.
Officers arrived at the home and learned that the three had a baby asleep in their car.
All three are facing burglary with intent to commit a felony charges while Artemio Cortes is facing a separate criminal mischief charge for smashing the windows.
A Mission Municipal Court judge issued a $200,000 bond for Baldomero Cortes while issuing $7,000 in bonds for Artemio Cortez and a $5,000 bond for Ana Maria Cortes.
