DUMP FIREFOX... or at Least Hit 'em Where it Hurts!
Reaganite Republican ^ | 09 April 2014 | Reaganite Republican

Posted on 04/09/2014 8:20:26 AM PDT by Reaganite Republican

If disposing of a CEO for donating to an unfashionable political cause didn't repulse you enough to keep from using the (overrated imho) Firefox web browser, perhaps their online POLITICAL censorship will... or maybe you don't mind being told what you can read, either.

Mozilla Firefox users this week were finding articles pertaining to imploding 'progressive' WH causes/initiatives ('gender equality', 'war on women')
blocked and substituted by leftist propaganda.
..

American Thinker:

Nanny Firefox posted a political opinion on my screen before allowing me to proceed to read the article. This message didn’t appear when I accessed a second article which met with Firefox’s political commissar’s approval.

Here’s what Firefox said:

Careful Now! (shouldn’t they have said “Achtung! or “Verboten!” or something similar?).

This website could not be displayed by Firefox because it is
not consistent with Mozilla’s corporate values.
May we suggest visiting another site instead?

Click anywhere to continue

Notice that there is the implication in the “This website” sentence that one cannot access this Red State article under Firefox before, indeed, allowing one to go to that Red State piece by following a link further down the page. This is a totalitarian move on the part of Mozilla Firefox but with a smiling facing – and a plausible deniability of censorship, nudging people to not access the site and also discouraging those readers who didn’t fully understand the written message from even attempting to click on the page...

I myself haven't used Firefox in years, and Safari is more than fine with me. But if you really must keep this browser, behold... it's easy to stay with Firefox yet still cost most of the (Google referral) revenue the product earns for Mozilla...

Fire Andrea Mitchell:
To really send the message to Google as well, make some other search provider, such as h your Firefox search provider by building a bookmark and using it. As good as Google is, they are the main source of Mozilla income, and so you want to cease using them while using Firefox until the message has been sent.
For those of you who love Google as I do for the quality of its search results, I suggest that you install an alternate browser just for Google searches, so no possible revenue stream reaches Mr. Eich’s tormentors that way.

I'm using Midori — which is based on the Webkit engine rather than Mozilla’s Gecko engine. This lets me search Google without sending a dime to Mozilla. In addition, having a separate browser aids you in avoiding Google-itis, in which your gmail account becomes a nexus for knowing your habits...

It's about time patriots cut off doing business with major threats to our freedom like the PC Nazis at Mozilla-- the Techie Left is a great place to start in general, even California hippies are sick of them.

And its not just the left we should boycott:
Chamber of Commerce/Rove donors, you're next...

Imagine users of Firefox Browsers being treated to a different page or simply a different slant....on exiting pages?

Pale Moon is a Firefox-based web browser, it uses the same code but is not affiliated with Mozilla. It looks exactly the same on my computer. I think it only works for Windows, and some features (parental control is one) aren’t available. You can read more here —

Even if you can’t personally dump firefox (because it’s needed for some addon or whatever) why not tell others it’s worth a try? Many people don’t know of the other options, such as Pale Moon. It uses firefox extensions but it does not support mozilla.org with ad revenue.

“Dumped Firefox last week and tweeted Mozilla that I was just as intolerant as they.”

Nope. You just dumped a browser. Mozilla completely ruined a man’s life. That’s the difference and why this is not just about “oh mozilla is now run by gays.” There will be gays all over the tech industry. Whatever. They just better not mess with us.

I don’t think there’s anything for this guy, or for RedState, to apologize for. The “hoax” was well founded and intended.

I still use Firefox (am shopping around for alternatives), but think that having Conservative websites cut off access to Firefox users for a day or two in order to call attention to this fascism, would be just fine.

“It was a hoax (but drop Firefox anyway):”

I thought it was pretty obvious it was a hoax...

See, I actually get jokes on the web.

If you are moving to Safari (or - beware - Chrome), you can use Xmarks to upload your bookmarks from Firefox and to download them to Safari or Chrome.

But you probably know that.

all other browser users get the "normal" Mrs Clinton photo...Firefox users....get Benghazi Babe!

Palemoon is not only based on Mozilla but Owned by Mozilla. Not sure that is much of a protest, kinda like going from Internet Explorer 8 to Internet Explore 9.

It wasn’t just Firefox, or Mozilla. It was Mitchell Baker.

She needs to be the face of this fascism. She did it, and should be the one sued personally, and protested personally.

Mitchell Baker.
