"To be frank with you, I was not looking forward to being right this year. I know these things must come to pass, but I do not desire the trouble that is on the way. I cannot blame "the LORD", an "angel", or anyone else for my being wrong. I'm wrong all by myself. Some people have attached prophetic weight to my personal interpretation of scenarios that would transpire if the Fall Feasts were to begin their intermediate fulfillment this past fall. The Feasts of the LORD are prophetic. I am not."

Now you need to learn what "The Feast of the LORD" are, and how they are shadow pictures of things to come. Also, I can assure you MR is the farthest thing from "Just another ice-cream-suit televangelist" that you will ever find.

I completely agree with you. Test what he has to say against what you've read in scripture and examine the evidence. I think if you do that, you'll come to the same conclusion as I, the man has a great deal of knowledge about the scriptures.

Like with Armstrong, Rood gives his rendition as he leads you to different scriptures...And Rood makes sense; as long as you don't go on your own beyond those scriptures he has given you...That's when things fall apart...As long as you stick with the scriptures Rood gives you, you're good to go...

I watched some of the video provided and to my surprise, I believe Rood got it right at least in the first 15 minutes anyway...But I expected him to fall off the track, and I know he does since I know what he teaches...

His partner there was reading some scripture from somewhere but he was adding words to change the meaning of scripture...Rood realized this and interceded at least once and reminded people the addition was the italic word...Well it wasn't the italic word in the bible he claimed to be quoting...

Rood was talking about the prophecy of the stars falling from heaven...He went into a big spiel of how that could not really mean stars, it was an allegory, or a symbol...I kept waiting for him to tell me a symbol of what...He doesn't have a clue...But he does sound good if you are ignorant of the rest of the scriptures...

There is a lot of disinformation being spread on the internet these days. Rood would not allow himself to be called a Messianic rabbi (messianic matador maybe - in jest), as he follows the teachings of Yeshua: Matt 23:8 "But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.

Yeshua begged us to follow his commandments...

I'd be interested in knowing a few of the commandments that Yeshua begged us to follow. Could you please provide a biblical reference?

Thanks.

Bless you for actually listening to what the man had to say before commenting Iscool. :)

I believe when you speak of the italicized words Rood was referring to, it was when he was reading from his work *The Chronological Gospels*. The words probably were: "The stars appeared to fall from the sky." Rood's interpretation of the Greek, done in the same way that some of the KJ translators did when they added words in the KJV of the Bible to help with the translation. I could go to my copy of the CG and tell you exactly, if you like.

The stars falling from heaven, he thinks may be ICBMs reentering the earth's atmosphere. There are other possibilities, such as a meteor storm and etc., IMO.

I’ve noticed that Messianics who pretend to be Jews always adopt selected teachings, attire, and customs of ‘the rabbis’ whose traditions they denounce.

They're all recorded in Deuteronomy.
John 14:

[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments

Exodus 20:

4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
[6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
[7] Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
[8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
[12] Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
[13] Thou shalt not kill.
[14] Thou shalt not commit adultery.
[15] Thou shalt not steal.
[16] Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
[17] Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Deuteronomy 5:

[1] And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
[2] The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
[3] The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day.
[4] The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire,
[5] (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the work of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying,
[6] I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
[7] Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
[8] Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
[9] Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
[10] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
[11] Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
[16] Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
[17] Thou shalt not kill.
[18] Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
[19] Neither shalt thou steal.
[20] Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
[21] Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

It has always been about keeping his commandments, and always will be.

You will not find any pagan “Star of David” nor kippas, or any other such nonsense in Roods vicinity. He wears the talit that Yeshua wore, with the blue fringe at the corners, as all of us are technically commanded to do.

I don't know much about the Messianic Jews. All I really know is they do not agree with Rood for some reason that I haven't bothered looking into.

There seems to be a some kind of misunderstanding with all of the "pretend Jews" chatter I see. Rabbinical Jews of today are modern day Pharisees. Not something that Rood, I, or others who are interested in the Hebrew roots, pretend to be (i.e., a Rabbinical Jew). We are interested, as I believe all Christians should be, in our Hebrew roots that we may gain a clearer understanding of the Whole Word of the Almighty.

I believe the Torah, and through it we do have much in common, IMO.

No, he has never called himself a Rabbi; that is forbidden by Yeshua, and Rood will be the first to tell you so.

You have never seen any Rood “brochure.”

Are you aware that his prediction was off exactly one year by the Biblical calendar?

It was a simple arithmetic error, and the scriptural basis of his prediction was right on the money.

We did enter the 7th millennium one year later.

Get with it, or don’t, your choice.

It has always been about keeping his commandments, and always will be.

I think you're letting yourself off a little easy with your list. In fact in Yeshua's day the pharisees claimed that they kept the law - and yet, they were roundly condemned by Yeshua.

Also, you didn't really quote any of Christ's actual commandments. Here are some from Matthew's Gospel, chapter 5:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

***********

I don't know about you, but I'm having a little trouble with the last one (but perhaps he was only joking).

Incidentally, for what purpose do believe Yeshua came to earth?
