Thats the thing about the collapse of civilization. It never happens according to plan theres no slavering horde of zombies. No actinic flash of thermonuclear war. No Earth-shuddering asteroid. The end comes in unforeseen ways; the stock market collapses, and then the banks, and then there is no food in the supermarkets, or the communications system goes down completely and inevitably, and previously amiable co-workers find themselves wrestling over the last remaining cookie that someone brought in before all the madness began. ? Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: a waste of desert sand;
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Wind shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Preppers’ PING!!
I used to eagerly await dystopian SciFi movies.
But ever since we now live in a dystopian islamo-Marxist reality, I no longer like those films.
Very chilling. Walmart on EBT renewal days. You will see zombies.
Closely study Venezuela.
Do they clear out the ammo?
Ha! What ammo?
It is estimated that in 1 AD, there were 300 million people in the world; in 1250, 400 million; in 1500, 500 million. According to UN estimates, the world population reached 1 billion in 1804; rose to 2 billion 123 years later, in 1927; to 3 billion 33 years after that, in 1960; to 4 billion in 1974; to 5 billion in 1987; and to 6 billion in 1999. The Census Bureau put the world population in mid-2013 at about 7.1 billion.

As I read history - human civilizations have experienced mass deaths due to war, pandemics and pestilence. It is usually regional except for the two World Wars. The birth and death rhythm is constant (or increasing due to food production and medicine so the phrase "End of the World" is not likely - unless God makes that decision.
All day yesterday, I was missing new episodes of The Walking Dead. I guess, I have to gird up and wait for the season premiere of The Game of Thrones now.
Well, it could be that you always stop by the next day...(or aren't there at the stoke of Midnight.)
How does one know?

“Do they clear out the ammo?”

You missed democides. There wasn’t a war during the Holodomor. There wasn’t a war during the Cultural Revolution. There wasn’t a war during the Killing Fields. Etc.
Since I don't stop by 3x / day, I have no idea what goes on.
(It's a Good Thing that the last time around (Bammy's impending and actual first immaculation) that I scored a multiplicity of 22LR rounds - I just which that I didn't have to borrow pieces to use 'em.)
