Guess I really screwed the pooch on that one.

I know, I know - I was just being a wise-arse. But no kidding, that’s some god-awful writing right there, i can understand why the trollin’ for hits
To: Hegewisch Dupa
When speaking to Regionites I always assume “wise-arse” from the get go.

How about the 1970s when we had a maniac president who spent most of his career trying to convince us that he was not a crook. Or, the 1980s when we had a dimed-light (sic)
president with the most corrupt administration in the history of our great country - not excluding that of the great Warren G. Harding! This was obviously written by a product of our publik skools.

Exactly. This author is way off the mark. I grew up in the 80s. Aside from the awful perms and football shoulder pads most women wore back then, it was a better time than now in almost every way.

Ha, ha. This must be a April Fool’s day post. I always fall for that because I rarely pay attention to the date.

I'd like to pick and choose from the past.
I'd like to go back to the kind of behavior when women did not use foul language freely--when in fact few men would use such language in front of women. I find coarse language from women disgusting. It is not "empowering", it is just crude.
I'd like to go back to decent women and girls NEVER dressing like streetwalkers. What kind of parent allows an 11 year old to dress like that?
I would like to recover standard English. The black kids I went through high school with spoke perfect standard English, and that was not remarkable at the time. It was expected.

'gunner's fault ... True story.
My bad.

I hear you - those were some good old days. Days of self respect, and decent morals. Days when people understood the consequencies of their public actions. Where did we go wrong?!

Thanks for the response. I agree with you regarding certain aspects of the article and I respect your viewpoint. I think what we think was good or bad is - in most cases - based on how we feel about the present which reminds us of the past. At least that’s how I feel sometimes. If I were to rewrite the article I may have a diferent viewpoint on certain events.

Wow, I hope you have someone who takes care of you, you are a raving space case, brainwashed to the hilt, spewing cliches as though you just thought of them, ignorant of the nation and people you are rambling about.
If Obama had a manic 19 year old off his meds, he would write like you.
