We went from “likely March” to “very near future but we’re not narrowing it down to a date range any more.”

After this, I can no longer allow myself to imagine that Zullo really feels assured of the reliability and significance of the evidence he’s gathered thus far. If he did indeed already have something that is undisputible and weighty 4-5 months ago, I believe that he could have produced it by now.

I realize his apologists will continue to maintain that it’s better for him to wait so that he can develop and properly vet all of the new information that has emerged in the interim.

I disagree. Most decisions involve trade-offs, and while I can admit I’m a complete outsider, I simply cannot conceive a scenario in which MCSO & CCP have “the goods” but are making a wise trade-off by continuing to hide it. The havoc that Obama and the political establishment are wreaking continues at a break-neck pace, and as each day passes Zullo and Sheriff Arpaio and everyone who has spoken in their defense is bleeding away credibility. Why not rather reveal the centerpiece now and let some threads go unmentioned until such time as they can be vetted later on?

Given that Zullo and his team discovered their critical evidence by at least November or December of last year and given that Mike has been touting it as “universe shattering” for months, then surely the gravity of that centerpiece is not precariously hanging in the balance any longer? Surely the viability of the key elements in the MCSO CCP case are not still dependent on whether this week’s round of new threads can be neatly tied up? Surely the main dish is sufficiently vetted to pack a wallop regardless of which salad and sides accompany it?

Or, maybe after close inspection the crucial nuggets have turned out looking less like the gold we were expecting after all . . .

I desperately hope Zullo proves me wrong, but I predict that we will not see a press conference before the middle of May and that if ever the the revelations are unveiled, they will prove far less substantial than what most of us would describe as earth shattering.

We went from “likely March” to “very near future but we’re not narrowing it down to a date range any more.”

Actually, it started out as "will be made public in March." Mike Shoesmith of PPSimmons (the author of the article starting this thread) wrote in January:

"Today, Gallups revealed that the long-awaited details of this investigation will be made public in March of this year, a mere two months from now".

Surely the viability of the key elements in the MCSO CCP case are not still dependent on whether this week’s round of new threads can be neatly tied up? Surely the main dish is sufficiently vetted to pack a wallop regardless of which salad and sides accompany it?

An apt analogy.

An even more skeptical (and I believe correct) view is that since the 2012 elections there has been virtually no "MCSO" involvement in this and it's been purely the "Zullo-Gallups Fantasy Show." Sheriff Arpaio has scarcely said a word since 2012, other than to repeat that there's no where for him to take the "evidence." (The MC D.A. politely showed him the door, and Arpaio knows Congress isn't going to act).

Arpaio got into this at the behest of some of his more conservative constituents. In early 2012, Arpaio likely correctly perceived that going through the B.C. pressers would shore up his vote numbers (which had declined in each of his prior elections) and get him some national press (read: money). And I think he made the calculus in early 2012 that Obama would NOT be re-elected, so this whole issue would die out after November.

But then Obama was re-elected. I think Arpaio determined that he'd get more immediate negative pushback were he to disband Zullo's CCP, and it's easier to let the Zullo go off half-cocked because there are relatively very few paying any attention to Carl Gallup's puny NW Florida AM station show. Two arguable "insiders" lend credence to this view. First, former CCP insider Brian Reilly has now stated the CCP investigation was intended to last only through the 2012 election. And when Zullo claimed on the Gallups show that there were two full-time MCSO investigators working on the CCP investigation, a blogger contacted the MCSO and received back reply that Zullo's claim was B.S.

I think Zullo's off in Bernie Maddoff-like territory: in so deep into this (for ego or whatever reason) that he's continually having to spin more and more "great event" teasers to keep his house of cards propped up. Gallups likes the ratings boost he seems to get whenever he reports giddily on whatever schlock Zullo is ladling out that week. But Gallups is too clueless about what a real investigation should look like to ask the hard questions.

But it's been all puff and no delivery for 15 months at least now. And Sheriff Joe appears to be keeping a safe distance, just in case he needs to pull the plug.

Yours sounds like the most logical explanation I have heard regarding this issue and the delay. Thanks.

Just a quick followup with a self-congratulatory-yet-sadening acknowledgement. Yep, the ides of May came and went while Mike Zullo frantically continues his work deep in an undisclosed location so he can get those dang ducks in a row so they will be able to effectively shatter the universe.

Apparently he's even too busy to raise his head long enough to comment on Vogt's unsealed sealed brief.

Ho hum, I guess I'd better start finding a more passionate interest the Benghazi, IRS and Fast and Furious scandals.
