That is true..when the Sox play the Rays at Trop, it seems like Fenway South, but I hate the Trop. I can’t wait to see a baseball stadium in Tampa, near the Forum (where the Lightning play).

Never happen..the Bay area isn’t big enough to support a ML team...even if you built a new stadium..the Rays will be gone before the current lease runs out...

An even better spot would be around exit 6 of I-4, next to the Hard Rock and across from the State Fairgrounds. The Tampa fans could come west a few miles, northern and southern fans could take I-75 to exit 8, while Polk & Lake counties, along with the whole Orlando Metroplex, would become potential ticket-buyers. We could get the nightly take up to 20,000 from the present 10,000, there would be more than enough money to keep players going into free agency from leaving the team, and the Rays would be the nemesis of the AL East for a generation. There would probably even be support for light rail from the airport to downtown out to the Hard Rock/stadium area, so people from SoHo, Davis Islands, NoHo and Carrollwood could park and ride, and the fairgrounds would become a magnet for more attractions.
