Love him, hate him, revile at his rants, he's the highest-paid radio host in the Bay Area; Michael Savage, syndicated talkie that has destroyed his ghost rival, Sean Hannity not only here, (KSFO), but NY, (King of the apple), Chicago, Detroit, Dallas. It's not even close in the important radio demos that count although some advertisers are still weary of Savage's discourse. They might have to reassess that position.
Savage makes north of a million dollars but between his books and diversified business interests fortune, he's reportedly worth close to $100 million. Who needs radio?
Mega Dittos, kristinn. *wink*
I actually wasted 2 minutes of my precious life determining the identity of "wallbanger."
How utterly childish to add the slam to the title of the article in your hero-worship of a talk show radio host, who obviously has significant self-esteem issues...lol.
Can't stand Savage's tone and accent. He is the sort of typical impolite lower-class NYC douchebag that a real person from the other America cannot believe .
Hannity is a totally 'nother sort of NYC douchebag trapped in a mental Bing Crosby movie. Can't stand his "Aw Gee Whiz Fellows .." approach. Also, Savage has some basis for his scorn of the guy's bona fides. Hannity would squirm and roll over for a tummy rub from Karl Rove, "The Architect," or the Toe-Sucker, The Dick Morris.
Good Points? AT least Savage was never a rock'n'Roll disc jockey. Hannity drinks beer and apparently plays tennis. Fabulous hair. In fact, his brain is rumored to be nothing but his hair's life support system.
IMNVHO, ALL "Right Wing Talk Radio" is depressing and negative. Bores me silly. I blame the hosts for holding down Right voting, by harping on how bad Obama is and how powerful his support, contrasted with the weak GOP. Turns Right voters into stay-at-homes. Invigorates the Left base. If Team Obama isn't a sponsor, it probably ought to be.
No Program, Plan, or Leader recommended. Levin's Constitutional Convention Plan is at least interesting, now if he would interview Sheriff Joe....
I don't either. Without morally based and Godly principles what does one have to stand for or on? Like the age old saying, 'if you don't stand for something then you'll fall for most anything'. Sorry, if you can't understand that then be it far from me to try and explain it clearer.
Sooo...how many times are ya going to post this?
I don’t listen to Hannity or Savage...but I do find it amusing.
(Sorry if someone has already said this. I didn’t read the whole thread. I read the first one.)
Savage is a fake just like the Westboro Baptist Church phonies. His goal is to marginalize Conservatives with statements like “You should only get AIDS and die, you pig.” and then donating to Democrats.
More truth? Give me an ‘effing break. Savage goes on air with more gaffes, garbled information, questionable figures, half-truths, distortions and previously debunked stories than any major host I know.
Most of the people in the Obama White House are heavily educated and Obama and Michelle themselves went to Ivy League schools. The less said about this the better.
This was the real reason Savage was so hard on Sarah Palin—she got her degree at the University of Idaho and Todd has no college(shocking!) Savage recently abused a regular caller named Jimmy for not having formal education. He called him a telephone screamer, no that’s a Joni Mitchell song, he called him a talk show screamer. It’s on YouTube. This is total b.s.
Meds? Now, now, you know psych drugs are nasty. Peter Breggin says so.
I am obsessed.
Glenn Beck, Rush, O ‘Reilly, Hannity.
The last—do you mean Fredo, a Godfather character he frequently references, I don’t know. Levin, maybe?
You will notice that Beck hasn’t been criticized lately because Savage went on his show, I guess.
I’m in the process of kicking the Savage habit. Somebody on FR told me my life would improve if I stopped listening to him and Michael Medved.
And evidently Mark Levins father.
Their names are Gavin Newsome and Jerry Brown.
OMG, seriously? That conspiracy theory is right off the stable floor.
Sounds like me. I’ve been reading or listening to old CBS radio mystery theatre episodes on my phone.
I have often suspected this myself. I remember once when Scott Brown was running the first time, Savage was interviewing some Massachusetts GOP honcho. Savage used the term teabaggers to describe tea party activists. I could hear the guy doing a double take, but he politely let it pass. Then Savage says it AGAIN, seemingly unaware that it was a derogatory term seldom used by tea partiers themselves. I’m thinking its either another of his many gaffes or a Freudian slip. Psychogical nudity, indeed.
“I could enjoy Savage much more if he were not so obsessed with his own perceived greatness.”
That’s all part of his schtick. I find it hilarious when he does that. I love listening to him.

I listened to Weiner for years but discovering he gave money to a Dem like Jerry Brown was the limit for me. A month or so later it annoyed me so much I stopped listening.
Giving money to a Lefty while saying liberalism is a mental disorder is whacky.
Salvage and Vannity both suck.
