Windows XP behaves predictively. Windows 7 seems to do things on its’ own that I can't figure out why, and doesn't seem to remember my preferences on certain things. Windows 8, I'm dreading the day I need to make that upgrade. I still have Windows 98se on a machine that I use for word processing and report writing.

I have several computers in my business. Several are still XP, I love it. The XP machines never crash, one secret is never upgrade them, just never go anywhere on the web except sites you know. I do have to admit that at my desk I have 7 and love it. We have a couple of 8.1’s I hate it. I have installed the clam shell start button and it helps but it still sucks.

are you saying that a computer OS is non-deterministic?
