IF I were a person who felt the need to have to wear an empty holster in a state university classroom, I’d NOT carry anything else but a book or a notepad into the classroom. In other words, I’d not have a bag or backpack that could be the subject of whether there was a gun inside of either.

That said, if there is a two-party consent needed to record a meeting, then upon a “No” answer to the question “may I record?” I would immediately ask if I may have a witness present (one of my choosing - prearranged).

Just my two cents.
