It is well known that off-duty cops do not live in guarded barracks.
They go to coffee shops, gas stations, supermarkets, churches, and any other place normal Americans go.
Pastors have a duty to upbraid the congregation, unless the pastor is more worried about his 503c, then being dependent upon the Lord, which I thought was part of the calling.
Shopkeepers have3 the right to refuse business to whomever they choose, as long as they post that intent, first.
I do not suggest anything towards the cops, of any physicality.
Bullies need to be publicly ostracized, shunned, other side of the street, silence falls from neighbors, friends distanced because of State actions, kids barred from friends’ homes because they are a cop, refused service, to lessen their effects on others. Let the stigma of a 1959 Southern Negroe befall them.
Should a single, solitary cop enact violence of any kind, in this shunning, that one becomes a criminal in thought and deed.
Lastly, I suggest EVERY American living in Connecticut, know the proximity of every law enforcement officer, since it is they who are now heaped together as bullies, and, every other person in the State that might ‘drop a dime’, just to save their own neck.
I do NOT write this in fun, or with glee, but this business has begun to turn very nasty, and I find it distasteful, that I, a 62 year old military disabled veteran, have lived long enough, to see the short, thin roots of Communisam take hold in this land of Freedom that I love.
I say make him give his left nut as part of the apology.

BRAVO and AMEN! The SHOULD be afraid of turning on the people and the Constitution. They think we won`t fight? Willing to Die to obey Obama? This made my weekend. The right people in CT are afraid!
IMO, the police must acknowledge that Peterson made a threat to a private citizen in his capacity as a LEO (not an insignificant point) before they complain about him being the recipient of threats *after* he made his. This is a very serious action on the part of a LEO, to be threatening to bust down the door of a private citizen.
We will not knuckle under to Brownshirt thugs intimidating private citizens.
With just about any organization they all have their bad apples just as this PD has theirs in this ill-informed and apparently un-remorseful Joseph Peterson and no telling how many more. It seems no matter how hard you try to weed them out they just keep cropping up. But you can’t quit trying. Keep plucking as there’s much work to be done else they will smother out the good ones.

I don't think that's a true statement, given the situation.
I think those who are “jonesing” for violence are egging each other on, are doing so according to half baked plans which will ultimately fail.

Militarize a civilian police force,without military consequences, and insert a bunch of deluded elected idiots to order them to prepare to attack the overwhelming number of formerly mostly law abiding citizenry.

Connecticut is dark blue state. If citizens are resisting tyranny there, imagine what will happen in the Red States.

I suppose. But the cop sure didn’t clarify his statement to kicking down the door when it was only the husband home. And the number of women owning guns is going up all the time.
Mr. Cincque should agree to join them on the podium for the ‘apology’.
He should also request to be allowed to make a statement FIRST.
Tell how HIS life has been turned upside down since the threat by the cop. Admit it was a generalized threat BUT he took it seriously because as a Vet, he has learned that mere suggestions are not always mere and there is virtually no way he could protect himself from the threat of ‘I would give my left nut etc etc etc’.
Kind of throw in - “Is the public being served with this ‘loose cannon’ in uniform, with a weapon”.
The cop should be fired and as suggested, his life in LEO should be over...
What he ‘said’ is somewhat akin to ‘Yelling FIRE in a crowded movie theater’.
