When Moses came down, he found his people - folks who had only just witnessed the LORD’s greatest miracles - worshiping a golden idol. That says a lot about who we are, as people, and it explains Christians’ incessant justification for just about anything, including their insistence on calling themselves Jews.
I'm not sure if you understand the difference between what's termed the house of Israel and the house of Judah?
The house of Israel are the northern tribes whom the Almighty allowed to be conquered and dispersed among the peoples of the earth
Some returned out of Babylon to the land of Israel and united with the house of Judah. Others scattered to the four winds. Eventually as prophesied, the two houses will unite:
"The House of Judah shall walk with the House of Israel and they shall "come together out of the land of the North to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers." - Jer. 3:18
Don't confuse the above with the house of Judah returning from the diaspora brought about by the Romans in AD. And even if certain Christians do not share Hebrew blood from the root, they are still 'grafted' in to the trunk through the renewed covenant. We who believe are all a part of the Almighty's plan.
Luke 13:34 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, just as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not have it! 35"Behold, your house is left to you desolate; and I say to you, you will not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD!'"
