Flotsam-Jetsome, I think you are wise to consider that this may not turn up as rosy as many seem to think it will. I hope Red Steel has a reliable inside track and lots of good reasons to feel encouraged. Some of the things he’s posted in this thread give me increased hope. Even still, I hope that contemplating a broad spectrum of how this could turn out will prevent a few people from suffering the unnecessary disappointment that tends to happen when expectations are set unreasonably high.

For what little it’s worth, I suppose that whatever news Mike Zullo considers “universe shattering” may not quite live up to my view of that description. While I am exceedingly grateful for his fearless and tireless efforts, I’m given pause because in my view he oversold the second press conference—the one in which he revealed his conclusions about the tabulation marks and Verna K. Lee among other things. Therefore, I am doing my best to keep my own expectations low this time around.

I don’t particularly enjoy offering a pessimistic view of the potential fall-out from the upcoming press conference(s), but I am concerned that we risk shooting ourselves in the foot by endlessly taunting our opponents with overconfident, unsupported promises that the Obama administration will suffer some significant sting as a result of whatever we learn from Zullo/MCSO in the next couple months. Don’t get me wrong, I deeply hope the results of the new information will ignite a firestorm of justice, and to be honest I can’t seem to help but keep imagining it will. Nevertheless, given how little we’ve been told officially, I’m reminded to stay sober-minded and to recognize the potential that these disclosures just might produce ultimately a much, much less noticeable impact than I desire.

So, to pass the time I offer you my attempt to outline what I think will be a near-worst-case, yet plausible scenario for what’s to come. Understand, I’m not predicting it will go this badly, I’m merely trying to offer a dose of reality and caution by fleshing out how things might look at the least desirable end of the spectrum.

PART I: The New MCSO Criminal Investigation

What we have gathered is that the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office has officially allocated man-hours of detectives on staff to follow leads they think have the potential to develop into indictments. That investigation is in some indirect way related to or parallel to the CCP Birth certificate investigation. Zullo has implied that the criminal case was sparked at least partly by a lead that precipitated in connection to his work to track down the sources behind the Xerox WorkCenter scan-to-bizarrely-layered pdf theory.

Optimism I've seen:
This is the particular development that has been described early and often as “universe shattering” by Mike Zullo both in person and through Carl Gallups who regularly recalls that Zullo used that phrase. As such, some of us are giddy with wonder if possibly the disclosure will reveal the names of one or more highly placed Executive branch officials or surrogates for whom indictments are being filed on charges of criminal conspiracy to perpetrate fraud, especially with designs to change the outcome of a federal election. Also, I can’t deny I find most alluring the thoughts that perhaps documents and/or credible testimony has emerged proving something like A) Obama was never granted U.S. citizenship or B) that during his college days he sought to receive aid available only to foreign students or C) that he has perpetrated fraud by means of a falsified Social Security number.

A word of caution:
This one is pretty much anyone’s guess in all actuality, but indulge me to suggest one example of the millions of possible trajectories the universe shattering revelation may follow. Mike Zullo has mentioned that IP addresses associated with some questionable activity have been traced to points of origin connected to DARPA and/or other Defense Dept. and Executive Branch agencies. What if the big reveal lies along those lines and is constituted not of names but principally of certain IP addresses and certain falsified content disseminated as part of an ostensible cover-up scheme carried out by government operatives working under the cover of false identities to defend Obama's background narrative and supporting documents? Consider that, with a little luck, MCSO’s detectives may even be able to produce credible documentary evidence that the IP's they cite were in fact sniffed by unbiased sources at points reasonably close to their alleged origin and that those IPs were definitely among the outward facing addresses used by the agencies in question during the days and hours in question.

Potential fizzle:
In a case substantiated primarily upon evidence of unnamed people hiding behind known IP addresses, there may be many paths of defense down which Team Obama may tread. First the executive branch will greatly benefit from the fact that gritty investigative/forensic journalism is now utterly and completely absent among the mainstream news media. Journalism graduates are poetic souls who are captivated by coloring pictures of how relaxing music makes them feel. They have no patience whatsoever to wade through a dense forest of technical caveats and nuances in order to sort out which party is the one providing factually consistent information about TCP/IP and networking infratructure models. When they see MCSO's account countered by enormous federal agencies who flatly deny that they were the source of the content in question, the press will instantly swoon of exhaustion and melt into the hands of their beloved Obama Administration mouthpieces.

Even if MCSO's evidence is so solid that flat denials offered by government representatives would amazingly prove unpersuasive to some journalists, the responsible party could perhaps still viably seek relief by contending the disinformation being spread by its alleged operatives was strictly unofficial banter of employees who sought to entertain themselves during their breaks and lunch hours. What FOIA request will suddenly trigger those agencies to honestly fess up right away about playing a role in defrauding the American public with demonstrably false claims to keep people confused about the problems in Obama's background narrative and identity documents? If the MCSO has no testimony tantamount to an admission of guilt or if there are not at least interoffice memos issuing directives, I’m not so sure IP addresses will be enough on this count.

PART II, The Ongoing CCP Birth Certificate Investigation:

What we have heard, particularly from Carl Gallups, is that those who have questioned the authenticity of that document will be completely vindicated on the basis of the current collection of evidence which he feels will prove with “1000%" certainty that the document is not authentic.

Optimism I've seen:
Perhaps now, a forger will be identified by name who has provided crucial testimony in an official deposition. Perhaps a new non-manipulated document may have emerged with indisputable provenance to prove that one or more documents released in support of Obama’s claim must have been subjected to tampering with the intent to deceive.

A word of caution:
We already know that Zullo holds a 40 page analysis of the long-form pdf written by court certified document forensics examiner, Reed Hayes. We have been made privy to a snippet of that treatment which clarifies that the long-form birth certificate is flagrantly inauthentic in the examiner’s professional opinion. Perhaps the “1000%” proof will only amount to an unveiling of much or all of the Reed Hayes analysis. Perhaps we will simply be told that Hayes’s findings along with whatever evidence has arisen in the criminal case (perhaps suggesting federal agents have actively been working obfuscate details related to Obama’s birth narrative) combine to yield incontrovertible proof that the birth certificate is a forgery.

Potential fizzle:
Reed’s conclusions will be heavily attacked (justly or not) on at least two fronts:
First, Obama apologists will allege that Reed is not so much regarded for his expertise with electronic documents as he is for inspecting original hard-copy documents to identify anomalies with handwriting and other elements. They will ask how it is that his work could be regarded as authoritative with respect to a digital file, especially given that he reached his conclusions before the Xerox WorkCentre theory had been brought forward.
Second, team Obama will ridicule Hayes on the basis that he is, among other things, an expert in graphology, which they will try to persuade us is a discipline backed by about as much scientific certainty as the use of ink blot tests, or they may even go so far as to try to equate it with palm reading and astrology.

As we all know, members of the biased press are more than sufficiently gullible as to gobble up those rebuttals, hook, line and sinker.

Again, let me reiterate. I do not want this to turn out badly, and I dont’t even think it will turn out as badly as I’m suggesting. My purpose is to serve up a sobering reminder that based on what has been publicly expressed thus far, there is at least a chance that the monumental and historic revelations that are planned may, to my chagrin, turn out to be received as much less than monumental and historic. Should we not be cautious about our assumptions and boasts? Bear in mind, every part of my speculation is absolutely only speculation. I have zero connection to anyone on the inside.

For empahsis, I do not mean to say that I expect the Zullo/MCSO revelations to be so insubstantial as to fizzle into nothing. I desperately hope that my pessimistic version of events is blazingly, staggeringly off the mark. I regard Zullo and Gallups as sincere and honest and heroic men who have sacrificed much to further a cause I wholeheartedly support, and I long for the upcoming disclosures to go as well for them as they possibly could. In fact I would love it if the content of this post fell into the hands of Carl Gallups and if he were prompted by it to deal devastating insults to the pessimistic guesswork of one ‘ecinkc who posts at Freerepublic.' I would be delighted to hear him telling us “folks” not to worry while he decimates my worst-case-scenario conjecture as portraying a ludicrous, idiotic tangle of guesswork that he would describe, in his most vivid gallupsian affect, as painting a picture of a case that is “a million times less substantial than what is really going to be coming out in the coming weeks."

I thought the first press conference was universe shattering, frankly. Forged birth certificate and selective service. What could really be worse for a CIC? It’s hard to beat that. Unfortunately, the Alinsky tactics and thought control perpetrated by the media in collusion with the administration spin and deny and counter attack so that it essentially is rendered into nothing. How can this be?

When the forgery was uploaded to WH servers, a couple of days later the "Bin Laden Raid" event nuked the bc story out of the news cycle. When the CCP held their first press conference on 01 March 2012, Andrew Breitbart suddenly died of "heart failure" hours after speaking with Sheriff Arpaio, and Rush Limbaugh's house had a bomb scare on the same day, nuking the press conference on the bc and Selective Service Registration forgeries out of the news cycle. If the revelations are "universe shattering" enough, perhaps this time around, the story will get nuked out of the news cycle, literally.

There is literally NOTHING I would put past these evil people.

Best scenario, he refuses to leave and his supporters have to live with the stench for three more years.

In a sad way, if he resigns he escapes punishment.

Unfortunately for us (if true), I tend to agree with you. If this turns out to just be something about IP addresses from Darpa that is NOT universe shattering. It will NOT get rid of Obama. It will NOT prove where he was born. It will NOT prove who his parents are. They will totally play it as a couple rogue employees doing things that no one knew about, etc. etc. Same for any copy machine marks, coding mismatches, and so on.

If they don't TRULY have the goods then they will just do more damage. People won't keep waiting for the next universe shattering news conference, press will completely ignore, nothing will change, etc.

I wish I could preview the information because the CCP will become a laughing stock if they don't really have slam-dunk universe shattering information.
