Maybe not. If scofflaws like Nero here, and his/her globalist fellow travelers have their way, the Republic will be forever "fundamentally transformed" and Rule by Men will have replaced Rule of Law, and tyranny (enabled by the most sophisticated technology ever produced by Man) the likes of which you and I can scarcely imagine will take hold on a global scale, and humankind on this planet may never escape it.
This prospect sucks. Ergo,

When George Washington was in the heat of the battle, he had enemies all around him.
Freedom will forever be a fight. From the day we are born, til the day we die, other men will attempt to enslave by rule of men. Principle of law will be under assault forever.
Jefferson, unfortunately was correct, as was Reagan. Each generation will have to fight for freedom
It never ends.
So we must arm, ourselves, for our part in the battle.
The bad guys are going to lose.
But it will be bumpy.
(And I am not speaking from a Christian eschatology POV.)
