Everyone knew that the debt-ceiling deal would pass through the Senate on Wednesday. Even Ted Cruz had to know it. As soon as the House passed the deal on Tuesday, the writing was on the wall.
Even so, Ted Cruz promised to fight for America once again and filibuster the legislation. Would that have changed things? More than likely it would not have changed the vote. But Ted Cruz is the voice of a lot of Americans who are fed up with the Washington D.C. business as usual crowd. Evidently tee times and the beltway bar scene are more important than listening to the voice of an elected representative, because 12 republicans turned on Ted Cruz Wednesday including his own Texas sidekick, John Cornyn.
This morning I feel like my own tongue was cut out, because there are few in the Senate who speak for me and Ted Cruz is one of them.

ok, noted.
/keeping this with the Amnesty list
Corker has 4 years until his next election so he doesn’t give a tinker’s damn what his constituents think.
Each and every one of these Back-Stabbing Quislings deserve to be thrown out of office at the earliest possible date. Not one of them is worth a bucket of spit.
McCain and McConnell voting with the rats, of course. Surprised McGrahamnesty’s name doesn’t appear on that list. They must be worried about him getting primaried so gave him a McRatPac pass on this one .
I’ve been checking their facebook pages. Most are getting blowback. Cornyn is getting absolutely incinerated. If his facebook comments reflect the primary voters he’ll be lucky if his family votes for him.
Hatch hasn’t updated his facebook page since Nov 7, 2012!
If we are to get rid of RINO's, we need a central list of people to vote for in the primaries. After the primary. it's too late, you get what you get. I'm losing Stockman as a congressman, and there is 9-10 others running for his spot. I also want to put some judges in the right places. Just having an "R" after your name is not enough for me.
Does anybody have any sugestions for East Texas candidates, especially dist. 36?
I'll be voting for Brian Babin otherwise, just because I know him. That doesn't mean he won't be a go along to get along guy cause I've never seen him under fire.
It was never going to stop the bill. It did force a certain number of RINO’s to go on record when otherwise they would not have done so. I’m glad Sen. Cruz did at least this month. Hopefully it will be used against these RINO’s in the next election.
You know Leslie Graham desperately wanted his name to be on this list, but he has a primary challenge coming up. McLame and the others gave their fellow Dems the votes they needed so Leslie was able to take cover.
Corker cannot be recalled. I wonder about the others.
Texas is incensed!!!!
Every one of them voted to impoverish our children and grandchildren. Every one of them should be removed.
Thune has now taken of his mask, too. Another bankrupter of our kids.
I noticed none of these RINO hacks stepped up to be the 60th vote
and forced McConnell to do the dirty work. Even after McConnell spent
45 minutes trying to find the 60th sucker.
According to Chuck Todd at “First Thoughts,” the Cruz filibuster threat forced McConnell and Cornyn to vote “Yes” for cloture on the clean Debt Ceiling bill.
The original plan was that no Republican would filibuster.
Then, ALL 45 GOP senators could cover their political rear ends and vote “No” on the Debt Ceiling bill, because they knew the Bill could pass with zero GOP support.
Instead, Cruz's threat to filibuster meant that, now, 7 GOP senators had to vote “Yes” on cloture.
When McConnell and Cornyn tried to find 7 GOP senators with “safe” seats to vote “Yes” on cloture, all but five SPRINTED for the exit doors (Thune, McCain, Hatch, Murkowski, and Susan Collins)!
McConnell and Cornyn had no choice.
They had to publicly vote “Yes” on cloture, or else the Bill could not advance.
Here's the Chuck Todd link:
Alexander, who does have a primary, did not vote with this group, although he probably would have, absent the primary challenge. Hence, to send Corker a message, we here in TN must support Alexander’s primary opponent.
These are the RINOs that can be reasoned with.
These are the RINOs who love Obamanation.
Hard to get a handle on some of these people. We’re in Brazoria County so some of our races are also more localized ones. Candidates I recommended to our group:
Governor - Abbott
Lt. Gov - Staples
AG - Paxton (primarily because of Cruz). Branch would be OK, Smitherman is a BIG NO!
Land Commissioner - Watts
RR Commissioner - Sitton
Senator - Probably Stovall
Comptroller, Ag Commissioner and Supreme Chief Justices are still up in the area.
The ballot down here is pages long with a lot of local races. Makes me wonder why we need so many political positions!!
