Could the United States be rid of President Obama before his term expires in January, 2017, thus saving years of his ruinous policies? Rand Simberg, who usually writes about aerospace subjects, seems to think so.
He makes the following modest suggestion. If, at a point, the president's popularity becomes sufficiently low, the Republicans should run for the 2014 midterms on the promise that should they take over the senate, they will impeach and remove both Barack Obama from the presidency and Joe Biden from the vice presidency, making the speaker of the house president.

They should’ve picked their own damn cotton!
Even if the GOP captures the Senate with a 2/3 majority, Obama wouldn’t be impeached regardless of what he does to sabotage the country. Who in the world wants Boner as president?
Even Boner doesn’t want Boner to be president...
>>we need a new Speaker of the House to make this plan salable
Getting rid of Obama and Biden and replacing them with a couple of “Wilsons” would be a major improvement. If Conservatives stay home because they will only vote for ideological purity, then we deserve to lose. The Progs win by accepting small steps forward. We sit on our asses, letting them take small steps forward while we pray for the next Reagan to make great leaps forward.
It isn’t going to happen.
