"Do we really want to just give up the midterms like this?"
Breitbart- ...conservative critics of Speaker John Boehner's planned immigration push are working to issue their own rival immigration principles to vie with the document Boehner is drafting. There is definitely a growing mood of confusion and aggravation among conservatives in the House over the immigration issue right now,The building backlash could create for a tumultuous 3-day retreat next week as Republicans gather in Maryland to plan the party's future. Upping the pressure, a key outside conservative today requested access to the retreat to brief lawmakers on the issue.
Top GOP officials, meanwhile, are becoming bolder in their embrace of immigration reform. House Budget Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) emerged Thursday to discuss how House GOP leadership plans to bring immigration legislation to the floor, while on House Majority Whip Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)--the third highest House GOP leadership official--endorsed "legal status" for illegal aliens on Wednesday. At a recent Tea Party convention in S Carolina, conservative lawmakers expressed anger at Boehner's plan to push immigration reform after opponents seemed to stave off the effort last year.
I don't know why in the world House Republicans would move on immigration legislation in 2014, said Representative Jeff Duncan of S Carolina.Representative Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma said securing the border is a far more urgent priority than discussing the citizenship of illegal aliens in the U.S. because of the savage violence at the border. We have on the border of the United States 100,000 dead bodies just south of our border, Bridenstine said. We focus on Syria because thats where the president wants to focus, while we have a crisis on our own southern border. And its because we have an insecure border.

The GOP are very scared that they will win big in 2014 ,so they will try to sabotage themselves as mush as they can ,because THEY HATE BEING IN CHARGE
Never underestimate The Stupid Party... which is closely affiliated with Monty Python’s Silly Party, apparently
Exactly. The GOPers have become experts at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Not very bright.
Boehner-Romney-McConnell-Rove-McCain are the GOP
and continue to keep the border open,
continue to coverup crime both foreign and domestic,
and have nothing in common with any conservative.
That was to be ‘you can NEVER underestimate the Stupid Party’ (Gee Oh Pee)
Best way to handle this is the way businesses handle management
Businesses fire employees every day when business goes south...whether or not it was the specific employees doing
Put such on House members. “Even if you vote against Amnesty...I will vote against you if it passes”
Require leadership from your representative. They will not fight if they are not expected to lead
There is a part of the GOP for a strong America.
However there is an equally strong segment which would gladly crush American strength for the sake of their own profit.
The democrats have no “strong America” segment. So the democrats do not offer a solution, but the crush American strength Republicans are every bit as bad for America, and they are unfortunately in control right now.
America has no party currently in favor of a strong America.
Sure the Republicans are for a currently high defense budget, but are meanwhile sending American jobs to China.
We need a party to KEEP America the strongest SOB on the block.
Neither party is currently just for America.
America first.
They are conflicted about what to do because their corporate masters want amnesty and to increase the flow of illegals into the country.
Imagine the Republicans spending tens of millions of dollars running against conservatism
and then we will lambasted as “letting Democrats win” if we refuse to vote for these nut jobs
Piss poor and gutlessly stupid people passing as “leadership”. Nothing “baffling” about it...
au contraire, mon amie.
Republican leadership is aligned with statists and socialists in a combined effort to bring down constitutional government and the economy. They have no interest in opposing the Democrat party. Their sole interest is maintaining their status quo. They are as much the enemy of the republic as are progressives. There is no other logical explanation for their attempts to destroy the influence of patriots.
The problem isn't the labor pool. The problem is there is no incentive for people to change their behavior and work for less than what they believe they are worth because the "nanny state" will take care of them. I don't see the welfare state changing and creating the need for people to find work by reducing or eliminating benefits.
I think the GOP-e is just trying to position itself as a partner with the Rats rather than a noble alternative.
Can’t stand Boehner and company, Rove is always wrong about everything yet still is on Fox frequently.
Nothing from these people have worked, yet they keep saying the same thing, Boehner is Speaker because of the Tea Party yet he blasts them. EGAD, get rid of him.
I get solicitations from the Republican Senatorial Campaign, and from Speaker John Boehner on behalf of the Republican National Congressional Committee, with a prepaid envelope and a long questionnaire, and I respond the same way every time, stating that I do not believe they even CARE what I think, they are fighting against the T.E.A. party far more vigorously than ever they would fight a Democrat, and fire it right back to them (not with a contribution).
I do support individual Republican races, even some that seem hopeless (yes, I supported Sharron Angle against Harry Reid), if only because every dollar Harry Reid had to spend defending his seat, was one less dollar he has to share out with somebody else whom I do not like in the least.
Do not feed the beast, or at least, do not feed the wrong one.
This presupposes the GOP is smart. They aren’t.
I stuck with them for a lot of years, including McCain & Romney.
Now that the damage is done and I see that they exempted themselves from obamacare (giving themselves and their staffs special subsidies) I will only contribute to Tea Party supported candidates and I will not vote for anyone who is not a Tea Party supported candidate.
