>>> Can you connect either to SADO language classes? Since shes known to work with several members she may also have provided interpreters. See if you can find where they got their education <<<
Search first inside the Subud links you provided... or outside sources?
Also, when using the word- either, do you mean that there are two SADO language classes to be found/searched, or... search SADO language classes and/or the interpreters in the hopes of finding their respective schools? I’m a little slow this morning.
To be clear- SADO is Stanley Anne Dunham Obama, correct?
Fred, you’re correct that the biographer carefully phrased it. The page is available online as a preview. The Pratt daughter says things about the memorably weird Dunham couple, but then the author writes about their daughter living there, too, allegedly in a convenient “makeshift” room outside her parents’ bedroom. Convenient, because otherwise people will wonder how so many adults and adolescents were living in a home with a limited number of bedrooms.
The “r” in the Anna Obama address doesn’t always mean “rear” but sometimes “residence”. So you either have “Anna Obama” living in the main house, in a hallway, with her infant son, or you have her living in relative luxury, alone in a house of her own in the rear, while her parents mooch off of the Pratts instead of moving in with her. Did she pay rent while they mooched?
Of course, if Anna Obama wasn’t their daughter, then she’d be expected to live separately with her child, and not live in a hallway outside the room of the guests of her landlord.
The author later IMPLIES that not only the wacky parents were there but also the daughter, yet again he doesn’t quote or paraphrase the Pratt daughter as having said that. He says Ms. Pratt doesn’t remember the Dunhams’ daughter bringing home any baby to that house, but he doesn’t say that she remembers any daughter there at all, with or without a baby.
This is found in his latest biography of Barry. HE says she was living in the hall outside her parents room, and the parents shared the house with the Pratt family. The Pratts were Stanley Armour Dunham’s employers, so we can presume they offered them housing when they moved to Hawaii, until they found their own place.
At least that’s the current narrative. Living in a hallway is a far cry from being separately listed as a head of a household or family, or whatever criterion they used to list individuals in that Polk Directory.
Elsewhere in the directory, how were her parents and the Pratts listed? Has that ever been revealed?
Don’t the directories list by name and then by address, too?
I have not been in SUBUD for over 32 years!!!

Hmmm, article just talks about stolen signs
_____________
Isn’t that odd? The woman’s signs were pro-Obama, and yet she failed to connect the dots that she knew his mother in Seattle as Anna Obama and even baby sat for him. She’s supporting his election, so presumably she knew he had a white mother from Hawaii and a black Kenyan father and so he was half white/half black. Coincidentally, Mary babysat for just such a child in the early 60s and yet she, a name dropper, failed to realize the possibility that the baby and the candidate were one and the same and she didn’t even mention the possibility to the reporter. Not only were her signs vandalized but she might have babysat for the future POTUS her very own self! Only months later, after the Seattle sojourn came to light, did she “remember” babysitting little “Barry” who was only weeks old but happened to look 7 months old. Curious, isn’t it?
HI it is a term of endearment given to older
Members of the community.
_____________________
So BHO Sr. married an older member of the community in Hawaii, by the name of Anna Toot? Keep in mind that even Madelyn wasn’t yet “old” nor was she a grandmother in 1960, when Barry was allegedly conceived. Anna, whoever she was, if of childbearing age, wasn’t an “older” member of the community or a grandmother, either.

In the 1970’s, he began to provide some examples of what he meant. In 1971, at the Subud World Congress in Indonesia, Bapak announced that he wanted to set up an international bank, the purpose of which would be to provide the funding to boost the development of Subud enterprises. About US$1.5 million was collected and in 1974 Bank Susila Bakti (BSB) was established with an office in Jakarta. Several more projects followed such as: The S. Widjojo Centre, a fourteen-storey office building in downtown Jakarta, was built for a cost of US$14 million and opened in 1980. Anugraha, which was opened near Windsor England in 1984, was intended to be an International Subud Centre as well as a “state of the art” conference venue.
Other large projects around the world include a plan to build a five-star hotel in Jakarta; Project Sunrise, the re-development of the derelict wharf area in Sydney; and the most ambitious of all, the Kalimantan Project which proposed agricultural, mining and tourist ventures, including the building of a complete township, in Central Kalimantan.
Not all these projects developed as hoped. The Project Sunrise did not go ahead. In Kalimantan only the mineral exploration has proved successful to this point. In 1986 Bank Susila Bakti was sold. The S. Widjojo Centre and Anugraha continue, with but with financial problems. For some Subud members the failure of some of these endeavours have been profoundly disillusioning. Others see the progress of Subud in the world as a unique experiment to combine the spiritual and the material which must necessarily involve encountering problems and difficulties.

He’s to your last questions
Are far as how many classes she taught it might more productions to research at which institutions she taught when and where the individuals studied and when
I know. My point was that even FOX News, so far as I know, won’t touch the Malik story. Or if they did, nobody asked Barry directly about it, did they?
Tuti and Muti are Bapak’s granddaughters. http://www.imagesaving.com/images/whodatwyw.png
I can’t find the other link, but they’re his granddaughters. Muti is like a family spokesperson.
Thanks Maggie The question that hit me in the first link was who bought the bank and what is it named now?
I want to ask before I forget. Have you ever heard of Jon Payne, supposed to be Madelyn’s youngest brother, who lived with them for 3 years on Mercer Island, before they moved to Hawaii? He claimed not to have learned for about 4 years that “Ann” had a son, according to the Maraniss book.
Interesting. So how did they originally get connected to the Pratta?
The group has an inner facet for medical practitioners. But I couldn’t get into that link to see who, what or if any had connections to the multitude of health practinioners or facilities in the US
Is she involved in the inner workings of the group? Where does she live?
Maggie, thanks for posting the link (it is on my to-post list :) )
From the article
“.... About US$1.5 million was collected ...”
Large sum, even more so in early ‘70’s..... and the projects were worldwide.
One has to ask the question:
given the small size of the group, how did they get so far so fast....
“doing it as part of worship/being a group member can’t be all of it.
To answer one of hoosiermama questions up thread as to what religious organizations engage in banking, etc., what comes to mind are the Islamic banks...
Forgot to include you on the ping to post #755. It Answers question posed
in post #724 “do religious organizations usually engage in banking “

Link to one of men listed in second link above. Interest was in agriculture and pottery. Wasn’t SADO s interest in metal crafts?
Wonder if her micro economic loans were also “share” oriented
Precisely. How is this money used in the world. Money laudering ? Drugs? Trrrorism? All out of sight of controlling world governments
How did it grow so fast? One can bet it wasn’t legally!
OTOH worked in a bank in CA in 1969. First week of operation we had one deposit over a million it was a payroll account transferred from a sister bank after our bank was formed in a consolidation
Who bought them out? Or who did they merge with. IMO besides them needing to be offshore to circumvent Indonesian law, the promise of large deposits often determines their partner or who they merge or allow to buy out
I didn’t research them any further than to see who they were. The name Tuti jumped out at me, too. Sharif is the other one’s husband.
