Wendy Davis has apparently settled on a plan divert questions about her biography raised over the weekend by the Dallas Morning News. In a responses sent to one news outlet and on Twitter, Davis and her allies are blaming her opponent Greg Abbott:

What character?
and thus would have attracted $$$
***********
She has attracted dollars. Media coverage to some extent has exposed some of her faults.

Governor’s race:
Greg Abbott, Republican, $11.5 million raised, $27 million cash-on-hand
Wendy Davis, Democrat, $12.2 million raised, $9.5 million cash-on-hand
Davis’s total includes some $3 million plus to her PAC. Whereas Abbott’s
total is only to his campaign organization.
Abortion Barbie in a nutshell.
She's ambitious. Between her law career and politics, I'm guessing that she had little time for her kids.
Plus there's the matter of her adulterous affair. I'm guessing that the daughters didn't want to be around mama's new boyfriend. Possibly with good reason. There's also the matter of her alleged alcohol and drug abuse.
Welcome to the big leagues, Ms. Davis.
Wendy ‘Abortion Barbie’ Davis and her handlers were under the delusion that she could mount a successful campaign around her ‘heroic stand’ for abortion rights. Well that quickly fizzled out almost as soon as she entered the race. With the reality that she has no other major accomplishment to point to, they are now pinning their hopes on her ‘sob story’ of a life narrative.
Anyone with two brain cells would know that if you’re going to base your campaign on your life story, that someone, somewhere is going to investigate that story. That’s what the Dallas Morning News did, and lo and behold, some things don’t quite add up. Davis could have simply apologized for the inconsistencies and it would have disappeared. Instead she is doubling down and now blaming her likely opponent who had nothing to do with it.
Deflect and project... old obama tactic.
She was done before any of this came out. What’s happening now is gods way of saying “Go Greg Go”!!!!
“Bait Car” (simulated dialog)
Perp: It’s my cousins car. He said I could borrow it. I have his permission, I didn’t steal it.
Police officer: Sorry pal, this car is the property of the _______ police department. We parked it there.
Perp: No, you’re wrong, it’s my cousin’s car. He let’s me borrow it all the time. We kind of share it.
Police officer: Why do you think the car just quit and locked you in it?
Perp: That’s an anti theft device that I forgot to turn off.
“Cops”
Perp: What drugs? They aren’t mine. It’s my friend’s car, it must be his dope. I don’t do dope. I was just on my way to bible study at my church. I am shocked that my friend does drugs!
Police officer: Sure, then why do you have this pipe in your pocket?
Perp: Say what? How did that get there. It’s not mine. My friend must have put it there. I’m gonna get myself some new friends.
Police officer: You’ll make all kinds of new friends in prison.
