unreasonable for Green to use deadly force in what was clearly "a fist fight."

He should have known it was just a "whoopass", right?

m going out, even for just one beer with friends while watching a game - the Glock stays home.

How do you get home after that one beer? Drive? So you are competent to know if you should or shouldn't drive. And you are confident you can drive correctly and safely. So it seems like you should be fine with a gun. I think carry should have the same restrictions as DUI, but more than that is unwarranted.

I am not saying this guy was right. Clearly the Glock should stay home if you are planning bar crawl.

Interesting, thanks.

It may depend on the circumstances and the prosecutor.

If moderate use of alcohol affects your judgment so much that you cannot trust yourself after a couple beers, if you become more dangerous to others than they may be to you, then you’re probably doing the right thing.

This is one of those situations where fractions of a second count in determining justification or guilt.

There is very little or no commentary about the trial proceedings or their outcome. Green could face as much as 45 years in prison, but any appeal would likely be after sentencing.

N.B.: The defendant and victim are both black.
