It may depend on the circumstances and the prosecutor.
If moderate use of alcohol affects your judgment so much that you cannot trust yourself after a couple beers, if you become more dangerous to others than they may be to you, then you’re probably doing the right thing.
This is one of those situations where fractions of a second count in determining justification or guilt.
There is very little or no commentary about the trial proceedings or their outcome. Green could face as much as 45 years in prison, but any appeal would likely be after sentencing.
N.B.: The defendant and victim are both black.
