Keep in mind with a picture like that that just under 110 planet earths could fit across the sun's diameter. The earth's diameter is roughly 8,000 miles.

This image is actually a great example of the magnetic field lines I referred to in my post 39. That long rope-like structure is a bundle of highly intensified magnetic field lines poking out of the surface just as the model in 39 illustrated. Again, about 110 planet earths could fit side by side across the diameter of the sun. So this structure is obviously humongous.
