Ours in Georgia ran through here last night from about 2 AM through 9 AM this morning. Got down to 4 degrees here in NGA by my own outside thermometer.
Poor old heater was trying real hard. I sat here for an hour around sunup and timed the cycles. 11 minutes on, 3 minutes off. The exhaust pipe barely had time to get cooler to the touch...it’s 21 here now and the heating system has some breathing room now.
We piled extra blankets on the beds last night and put the heater at 62. It was still cycling frequently when we woke up at 6am so we cut it down to 60 for several hours till the sun was really up and warmish. Fortunately we blew in 15 extra bales of insulation in the attic last year. We could really tell a difference yesterday and last night.
