LOL...you have no idea. We out here in the weather field....real operational meteorologists not the grant backed "professors" are really having a laugh. The fact that they are acting like its new....or actually caused by global warming is a hoot.
But at the same time its frustrating and sad. As I said on a previous thread, the thing that frustrates us the most is that so many of the media and scientists seem to have an issue with long-term memory. It's funny that every time an arctic front comes down they forget about 1983 when the ears froze off cattle in North Dakota...or 1899 when Galveston Bay froze over and people walked to the Bolivar Peninsula.
Just last winter, a polar vortex was called an Alberta Clipper. Last time the term was in the news (that I recall) was in the late 70's. Clear back when global cooling was the big fear. 20 below here the last two nights and impassable roads. Ready to get out and about here!
