Some oil lamps will also burn vegetable oil.
But it results in a sooty greasy flame that is not as bright.

The only time I’ve managed to get vegetable oil to burn in an oil lamp is by mixing it 50/50 with lamp oil/refined kerosene.
Have seen it on the net, but no luck.
