The JD would run on 90% isopropyl.
But it wouldn’t survive that for long.
It would also run on pure methyl alky. But before next season it would need a new/rebuild of the carb and new rings, assuming that the cylinder walls don't get too scored up due to the alky wiping out the oil coating... Otherwise it's new Briggs 'n Stratton or new solidified globull warmthing relocating device time..
Besides, burning a 'racing' fuel in a solidified globull warmthing relocating device is just plain useless.. (BUT.. that blue flame from the muffler that is only visible after dark is really neat!!)
Not that I would know anything about that...
