The Grey Lady Abandons Obama
Truth Revolt ^ | 11/15/2013 | Elisha Krauss

Posted on 11/15/2013 3:23:21 AM PST by markomalley

You know things are going south for President Obama when one of the cornerstones of his adoring mainstream media  starts to question his signature healthcare plan.

As Breitbart reportsNY Times writer Michael Shear says in a write-up today that Obama has lost the trust of Americans, and his failed Obamacare rollout is his "Katrina" moment.

Shear writes,

Barack Obama won the presidency by exploiting a political environment that devoured George W. Bush in a second term plagued by sinking credibility, failed legislative battles, fractured world relations and revolts inside his own party.

Mr. Obama is now threatened by a similar toxic mix. The disastrous rollout of his health care law not only threatens the rest of his agenda but has also raised questions about his competence in the same way that the Bush administration's botched response to Hurricane Katrina undermined any semblance of Republican efficiency.

Since he cannot blame the failure of the Affordable Care Act on President George W. Bush, President Obama has consistently pointed to Romneycare as an excuse. Most in the media have followed the White House talking points trying to compare Romneycare to Obamacare, I guess Shear did not get the memo.

Yes, we need to use this moment first and foremost as a way to split the Republican party further. Good political instincts you have there.

George Bush’s “sinking credibility” was manufactured by the press, Obama lied.

The times is only criticizing their idol. They are loyal to the left and will rally to support hillary by lying, deceiving, and inventing.

The RINO party of the RNC is over for conservatives. Those that would let McCain keep babbling on and give more support to Christie than to Cucinelli do not belong in the same party as constitutional conservatives.

Where was "party unity" during Ted Cruz's magnificent 21 hours?

Obama isn’t running for re-election. What difference does any of this make?

It means Obama has no mandate from the American people on any agenda initiatives moving forward (immigration reform?) because of the lack of trust in his honesty and credibility.

For the democrat controlled Senate where there are approx. 12 vulnerable Senators up for re-election in 2014, it means it’s now every rat for themself (Obama be damned).

so maybe people will try some Tea Party candidates next election

********
I hope you’re right.

However, the GOP-e is waging a not so covert war against the Tea Party and is desperately trying to undercut its influence. We can’t underestimate the power of the intrenched culture in the GOP. They will defend their turf at all costs.

Sandy was Obama's Katrina.

Obamacare is an entirely new level of political disaster.

Katrina was a natural disaster made worse by state and local democratic officials

Made worse by the morons who refused to evacuate and the looters.

It was worse than that. The local Democrats, in my opinion, did not act the way they did out just pure incompetence. They purposely used the situation to score political points against a President of the other party. They created the roadblocks that allowed the media to savage our side. The Katrina situation was manufactured ready to order by the Democrat Party.

The myth has been shattered....after 5 painful years.

That oh so brilliant, hip, tech savvy, and totally competent administration can’t build a website and sell insurance.
Oh and they lied about keeping your old policy.

I’m enjoying every moment.

The GOP is run by a pack of stupid old demented hangers on, who don’t recognize a good thing when they see it.

Their only effort is in feathering their old nests.
