I am very upset now. The breast doctor and hospital nurse convinced my mother she is too far gone to go for radiation and chemo. I know it has spread around her body and brain but one thing I learned, from Mom, is never give up. Sometimes I do wonder if they really pushed this on her, or if I may, “brainwashed” her, into this decision. I don’t know what to think.
Does anyone have any words of advice to share with Nowhere Man? (See post #18.)

I am sorry to hear this news. I have lifted her up in prayer.
I know with my aunt’s cancer after two treatments the docs recommended she stop given her age was 68. I think they wanted her to have some quality months to spend with family instead of being in a hospital or hospice. Ultimately it is your mom’s decision and if she wants to charge on, they should not discourage her. There are other doctors and centers. One of my doctors had stage 4 colon cancer and they gave him a couple of years to live if he did intense chemo and surgery. He went to another center MD Anderson in Houston and after 6 months he is in remission with a much better outlook.
So I would recommend a second opinion at a center that specializes in cancer treatments like MD Anderson.
