Wait a second? Didn’t Snowden first go to China? Where China and their reverse-technology, was granted the rights to reproduce the Grundig SW radio? I hear people in American jails, know how to increase the band-with of small transistor radio’s. What could China do with a Grundig or cell phone, like the Samsung knock-off.
Now didn’t Germany discredit our secrets, as found in the German newspaper?
As for France, just how long were they (like Australia in Afghanistan) going to provide there battalions, in the Syrian civil strife? Long enough to see the US weaponry as a Socialist Country? Then pull-out and leave us to boots on the ground?
Now: what about Switzerland and that $2,800.00 a month? Doesn’t that story sound familiar, as in the US $10 Million dollar theory?
What happened to our spy-plane brought down by China? If France and Germany are really worried about spying? Wouldn’t we infiltrate the Belgian Arms Race? I think they have enough to worry about, with the Saab software in Fighter Jets? Comprendee-Vous?

It gets a little worse.
In the rabbitoid story, Jacob was on the promenade with his wife and daughter when the planetary council raided the station.
He saw them gunned down while helpless to act before he himself was shot.
He comes to on a pile of bodies.
Then he snaps, begins a rampage of destruction, and remains a grim and broken soul afterwards.
Though the nanite tech and Evalynn have the possibility to revive his lost loved ones, he had the presence of mind to drag them to the cryonics labs, he has yet to take Grandmother up on her offer.
Six foot tall, retractable claws, ~45 mph top running speed, kick like a piledriver, punch like a car hitting you.
Yeah, he is just a little upset.
There’s a length of time where Jacob is missing and presumed dead, Buaireas and Beauregard run interference in a delaying action in order to buy time.
Matthew Cosfhota ends up giving them the time to defend the station by weaponising the jumpgate.

I wasn’t aware of anything but intermittently I felt rather than see things. I felt like I was being carried and then dragged. Then I felt like I was tied to something. I don’t recall how far apart these things were happening. I was in and out of consciousness I suppose.
Something was pushing me back against a wall. Up and up. I don’t know why I had the idea were moving up and up but I didn’t like to think of what it meant. More blackness. Then thoughts of my parents and Emony.
Will I ever see them again?
Wind in my face. Heat. Screams. Panic. All of these things I feel in a quarter second of being able to think again. Then black. Then falling. The blackness was getting shorter and I was coming out of a tunnel.
I finally come to my senses and can not make sense of what I was seeing. I was in the back seat of a small vessel and Captain Ranagar, Carl and another invader were in the other seats. The viewport of the front was broken, wind was making it hard to keep my eyes open. The control panel in front of the pilot was partially melted. I could see the ground coming up to meet up very quickly.
I understood. We were in the aerial vehicle and we were crashing. Now it makes sense.
The pilot was frantically trying to shallow out the precipitous dive we were in. If there is one time in my life I root for the bad guys it is now. We were still diving but not straight down and somehow the speed seemed to be decreasing. I really have no idea why that would be possible but the ground was still rushing to greet us.
I bend over and hug my knees just before impact. Cram! “AAAHHH” I said in pain, feeling like I was being kicked in the gut by a dozen people at once. It was hard to breathe but I could see that the aerial vehicle had bounced and we were falling again. Not good.
The aerial vehicle finally stopped moving. Or rather, it finally stopped crashing. It was bent out of shape and one wing was resting atop a tree. The twisted fuselage was burnt in some places and it looked like one of the two engine nacelles had been completely blown off. Whether this caused the crash or happened in the crash, I did not know. I did know that the nacelle or pieces of it were no where to be found.
I finally come to my senses and can not make sense of what I was seeing.
I understood. We were in the aerial vehicle and we were crashing. Now it makes sense.
The aerial vehicle finally stopped moving. Or rather, it finally stopped crashing.
Yup.
Jacob and Buaireas are “pooka”, the “military” application of uplifted rabbits.
Matthew and Beauregard are “rabbitoids”, the “hi, I’m a friendly nice face” assistants and researcher “brain” types.
The rabbitoids aren’t normally fighters.
That’s what the pooka are for.
But there are few pooka.
And most sacrifice themselves to keep others from being abducted by the council.

“Finally stopped crashing”!
I liked that one too.
“Remind me to bag my lunch back up and return it.” was a line that came to mind with one of the characters I was writing.
(Or, suggested by the character. Sometimes it seems like they do that.)
What I posted is almost where I am now in the story. Sometimes when I post a part of the story I see mistakes and I go back and fix them.

Imagine a literary covey of six foot rabbits reading over your shoulder, each with a unique personality, and they all have suggestions.
The downside of being able to imagine entire worlds.
The characters take on lives of their own, and it gets difficult to write their stories.
Because you can see everything in the mind’s eye as it plays out.
Or gets edited by several characters at once.
“But, I wanna rescue a princess from a dragon!” pouted Jeremy Twitchear.
“No, you will be playing with the pug on the dock as with wrote it! That’s how it must be!” responded the author.
Jeremy gave a lip quiver, sad eyed look.
“But..but..everyone is leaving on the ship but me!”

I was not feeling too well but nothing was broken. It was almost a miracle. I noticed it was actually chilly. I wasn’t wearing a coat or anything that could protect me if it got really cold. I survived the invaders, captivity, the crash and now I can die peacefully from exposure.
I was not going to die just yet. I had to push myself up and look around. I could see the invader guy who piloted the aerial vehicle lying on the ground, his whole face was a mess. He had to be dead. He had made the crash survivable for the rest of us but it killed him in the process.
I could see the back of Carl down the hillside, he was sitting up holding the back of his neck. I look around and I see Captain Ranagar limping around, he picked up a piece of metal rod that had been a part of the aerial vehicle and use it for a cane. He was looking around with a confused look on his face.
Why was he confused? I secretly hoped he had lost all of his memory and was completely stupid about everything. I realized this was not very realistic.
“Why is this area bioformed?” Captain Ranagar asked, he wasn’t looking at me so I guess it was a rhetorical question. Which is a good thing, because I had no idea why this area was bioformed or even where this area was. The fact that he was asking meant we were not in the colony. The only other area I know was bioformed was the hot tropical area where they grew pineapples and such.
This was not that area. This was a mountain range. I could see other mountain tops in all directions and snow between them. The Captain had asked a very good question, why would this be bioformed?
I roll over onto my side and pull out the device. I look through the menu and find maps and look for anything showing me my current location. Since it had no connection to a satellite or ship in orbit it could not tell me where I was with any certainty. So I just looked for mountain ranges in the region where the colony was.
There was such a mountain range, I suppose it was possibly the right one, but it was a thousand miles from the colony. How long did I black out?
I looked through the menu again for anything relating to survival. I found something but I heard the Captain walking and dragging his “cane” toward me. So I slipped it back into my pocket. I rolled back over and he stopped, I guess he was a bit surprised to see me alert.
“Where are we?” he demanded “It has been bioformed, does that mean there is a settlement around here? Take me to it!”
I did not know what to say but the pilot let out a loud moan.
The Captain bent down and touched his cheek. “It’s okay Brahms. You did well” he told the bloody man. “It’s all okay now. No more suffering” he said pulling his sidearm from its holster. Then he shot the man in the head. Then he simply stood up. Looking at me he said “There is nothing we could do for him, he would have just died slowly”
“Munger get up and get over here” Captain Ranagar yelled.
Carl stood up painfully slowly and then walked toward us like a zombie. “I don’t feel so good, sir”
“Buck up, Cadet” the Captain said “We are going to get off this mountain and find a place to stay for a while”
Carl briefly looked like he didn’t believe that any more than I did, but he nodded. “Yes, sir”
And at about that moment, I found myself awash in a sea of the upright ears of alarm!
“I don’t like this part!” Jeremy placed his hands over his eyes and blocked the text with his considerable bulk.
Yes.
Quite difficult.
Uh oh.
