Make no mistake about the purpose here; we did not do well in the final resolution of the government shutdown. We were stabbed in the back by the Republicans in the Senate and a few quislings in the House.

The insistence that this was a fight worth fighting is hard to argue against. At some time the Peter Kings of the world have to have the courage to stand up for us in the battles over our future. Unfortunately, the conservatives have been overwhelmed but this in no way means they were wrong.

We are not better off now than we were yesterday. We are another step closer to our national destruction and the destruction of...

I admit it wasn’t our finest hour but I don’t think getting a 90 day extension is cause for celebration!! The Dems act like they won a year long budget battle...meaning the government has been funded for a year. When my Dem friends start to gloat that is what I ask them, then I ask them why Obama is not on Obamacare? They quickly shutup.

OBamaCrap was NEVER about health care ; it is about CONTROL !
With or without income verification it still won't fly , or work .
You can lie about your need ; you can lie about your savings but it all gets reported to the IRS.
It was designed to make all those who could afford it, and those who couldn't , into criminals for making a false report.
And who would prosecute the criminals for submitting false reports ?
That is why the Fed , under the IRS , is going to be able to reach into your bank accounts , savings , and investments to exact a civil penalty.
Your financial accounts will be listed online , with access by govt., DMV, IRS , insurance company , and unlimited hackers .
The health care website clearly indicates that there is no expectation of privacy.
Personal Identity will become a thing of the past (!) , and controlled by the Fed.; failure to comply will result in prosecution .
Therein lies the Fed . CONTROL !!

I remain committed to fighting this in any small way I can
but it does get harder every day
if we can’t do anything and once people start getting their subsidies for obamacare it could be impossible
then it is a shirt trip to single payer
