To survive as a society there is more needed than hunter-gatherers.
Teachers all kinds, historians, electricians, mathematicians, dishwashers and cooks, don't tell me you have no useful skills.
That is true, the issue is making sure I could get a survival group to buy that i could make myself useful. Otherwise, my chances of survival are 0 % since there is no way I could bet a survival group started among my coworkers, neighbors and friends and probably not even any local churches. It is either go to Texas or a Southern State, convince a survival group I have useful skills or die. I figure those are the sole options I have.
So as I was saying, that is the issue - I am in a situation where gaining the trust of a survival group I have not known for a long time looks to be the only chance I would have of living.
I have a B.S. in physics and a M.S. in physics and am trying to finish a Doctorate in Physics - and so my abilities in math cover everything from elementary math through multivariable calculus. I also work with computers on a daily basis, making computer programs and designing visuals and things of that nature. Much of my life has been dedicated to these skill sets and so that is where a bulk of my skills would lie. I of course would be willing to learn any other skills that would be considered indispensable, so I am now learning what those skills are. Just am not sure how I would convince a community I can use them.
