A man has said he is still haunted after being abducted and probed by aliens 40 years ago.
Calvin Parker Jr said he encountered the UFO when he was 18 years old while fishing with his friend Chase Brandon.
And he has spent the past four decades shunning the press attention that the incident attracted.
He has moved jobs and home several times over decades to avoid being detected.
When questioned he said: "This is something I really didn't want to happen.”
Parker and Brandon, then 42, were on the banks of the Pascagoula river in Mississippi in October 1973.
The pair were approached by a UFO with blue lights that made a zipping noise.
They were levitated and taken aboard the craft. Parker said they were then examined by what appeared to be a large floating eye.
He said: "They gave a thorough, I mean a thorough, examination to me just like any doctor would."
They were then left behind on the banks of the river.
It became one of the most high profile cases of a UFO experience in American history after Roswell.
UFO enthusiasts believe the government got hold of alien bodies in Roswell, New Mexico, in the 1940s and examined them.
The American government has spent decades denying it.

If they are beings capable of interstellar travel, “take me to your leader” would be the last thing on their agenda.
They would most likely treat us as a curiosity to be studied and not someone to talk to. Just like scientists discovering a new species in the jungle don’t try to engage in conversation with the “lesser” creatures. They simply pick up the creatures and study them as they please.
We would simply be on a far lower level to have any meaningful interaction with space travelers. I don’t believe they would enslave, conquer the planet or eat us either. We have nothing that such an advanced race would need. IMO, the worst case scenario is some individuals may be harmed as a result of their research. Just like we tag and disect a few individuals from a newly discovered species.
I had a buddy ranting about this incident last sunday during the pats game.

all i can say about UFO’s is one story around 1989.
Three friends of mine went Catfishing on the Charles river one night and all three came back with stories that they saw a UFO, something that could not possibly be man-made.
Of course i was like yea yea whatever until a few days later when another un-related friend came to me with the exact same story from the same night.
kind of weirded me out....
