Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt or even
Basic Economics: A Citizen's Guide to The Economy by Thomas Sowell.
Well, they should not even bother reading those things now. They should pick up a copy of The Road to Serfdom by F.A. Hayek.
That is probably most applicable now.
