Back in 2008, when then-candidate Obama promised Joe the Plumber and the rest of America that he intended to spread the wealth around, most democrat and liberal voters embraced the notion of wealth redistribution under the guise of equality. A universal health care plan, that would be free for all Americans, was the promise from the candidate of hope and change.
Tens of millions of Americans jumped on the bandwagon waving their flags, fainting at his appearances, and fawning over his every word.
None ever thought about where the money would come from for all this new found wealth he promised to bestow upon them.
But those who understand that socialism, communism and governance by the collective are failed experiments, warned where that money would come from. It would be taken by force from the toils of the middle class, and itd impoverish them in the process.
Now the myrmidons who once vehemently supported the policies of President Barack Obama without question are coming to the realization that when Obama spoke about spreading the wealth he actually meant their wealth too!
Cindy Vinson is one such supporter. This month, like many Americans who have health insurance through their employer or private insurers, Vinson got an unwanted awakening to the reality of government sponsored wealth confiscation and redistribution:
Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama.
Yet, like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills: Their policies were being replaced with pricier plans that conform to all the requirements of the new health care law.
Vinson, of San Jose, will pay $1,800 more a year for an individual policy, while Waschura, of Portola Valley, will cough up almost $10,000 more for insurance for his family of four.
I was laughing at Boehner until the mail came today, Waschura said, referring to House Speaker John Boehner, who is leading the Republican charge to defund Obamacare.
I really dont like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this. When you take $10,000 out of my familys pocket each year, thats otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy.
Both Vinson and Waschura have adjusted gross incomes greater than four times the federal poverty level the cutoff for a tax credit. And while both said they anticipated their rates would go up, they didnt realize they would rise so much.
Of course, I want people to have health care, Vinson said. I just didnt realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.
Prior the passage of Obamacare Congressional switchboards lit up with 99 out of 100 Americans urging their representatives to throw the legislation out.
They didnt listen. They passed the bill without even reading it. In fact, they didnt even make it public until a few hours before the vote and by then it was too late.

For people like Mr. Washcura and Ms. Vinson it must have been pretty funny to see Republicans, Libertarians, and anti-establishment extremists getting frustrated and angered.
They must have looked on with glee and a sense of victory.
Youre not laughing anymore are you, Ms. Vinson?
Now that Ms. Vinson and Mr. Washcura know they are the ones footing the bill to provide free health care to the less fortunate out of their life savings and retirement accounts, theyre very quickly coming to the realization that theyve been bamboozled by the very person who promised them hope, change, free housing, free gas, free phones, free medicine and a host of other government-issued services.
Socialism is an awesome idea, isnt it?
Until its you who has to foot the bill.
Ms. Vinson wanted hard working Americans to feel the pain, to give up their lifes work for equal wealth distribution, and she voted to force these mandates on unwilling Americans at the barrel of a gun.
Whos in front of the barrel now, Ms. Vinson?
You, and the rest of the 50 million people who elected Barack Obama to not one, but two terms, deserve the pain thats coming.
You asked for it. Now bask in it.
Here’s hoping the rest of Obama’s useful idiots get a similar wake-up call.
“Idiots like these shouldnt be allowed to vote.”
Or breed.
Was it Margaret Thatcher who said, “Socialism works until you run out of other people’s money”?
When you take $10,000 out of my familys pocket each year, thats otherwise disposable income or retirement savings that will not be going into our local economy.
...”local economy”?! What is this idiot talking about? Is this more of that “Buy Fresh Buy Local” BS? I’ve always said...”it’s economics and history that people are sorely lacking”.
Ever notice those stickers are always on Subarus?
Maybe these people will remove their heads from the end of the digestive tract and realize that their vote was a colossal mistake.
This is one of the problems of having a huge federal government that is funded by automatic deductions from a person’s paycheck.
As anyone who has ever purchased a house knows, it is one thing to have your annual property tax bunched in with your monthly mortgage payment, and quite another thing to have to pay it in one fell swoop each year, which is what happens in many cases once you pay off your mortgage.
I understand completely why it is done in this fashion. There would be far too many people who cannot budget adequately to have that money set in reserve for the bill to be paid when it arrives each year. Sad but true. Too many people live month to month without a thought to the future, but it is also true that too many of these people have multiple cars, cable television, Internet, multiple cell phones, vacations, etc.
If we had to pay our tax bills each year with one payment, there would be a revolution. Right now, you don’t see another dollar or two, or three, or even ten being taken each month. But if you paid your tax bill in one large payment each year, and one year it is $25K, and the next year it is $32K, you would justifiably wonder where that extra $7K is going towards.
This all reminds me of that old saying: “You think (INSERT SOME NECESSARY THING HERE) is expensive, just wait until it is free.”
My experience with so-called "Independents" is that they always vote for Democrats. They're just liberals who can't admit they're liberals.
Well, they should not even bother reading those things now. They should pick up a copy of The Road to Serfdom by F.A. Hayek.
That is probably most applicable now.
“Vinson said. I just didnt realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally.”
I hate to say this, but Vinson and the rest of us are not paying for it. We are racking up enormous debt to pay for it and it will the kids and grandkids who inherit a bankrupt country will be the ones paying for it.
“My heart bleed for this idiot. Taking $10,000 dollars away from me would put me on food stamps.”
Vinson’s insurance is for a family of 4 or 2500 extra per person per year or about 200 dollars extra per month per person.
Burn, baby, burn.
Really... I wish I had that kind of disposable income. $10,000 is food on the table and some debt paid for my family...
I saw something the other day that made me laugh even though a lot of the “morally superior” crowd will tell me I shouldn’t laugh about it, I still laugh.
A guy I went to high school with was always proud to tell anyone that listened that his family were “Yellow Dog democrats”.
Even though their business was about to go belly up they were still Zippo supporters for his reelection.
Zippo got reelected and now the business isn’t simply on the verge of going belly up, it’s going belly up.
Someone just try and stop me from laughing.

We know that plenty of Democrats fell for this hook, line, and sinker and voted for Obama. In the liberal world, fantasy league is about life, not sports.
But, plenty of so called conservatives fell for it too, especially young, single, and suburban women. Health care gives them the Trifecta that they need to get the security blanket from the government that frees them from dependance to men, husbands, and family. They voted for Obama, and they will vote for Hillary.
These people are so blind and dumbed down, I bet they still support the big O and his loonies and will vote for them over and over again. Brainwashed sheeple.
‘Ms. Vinson and those like here are too stupid to be idiots.’
An essential rule of ridiculing another’s intelligence is to spell check one’s own critique.
