Read the old statute and you will see that carry by CHL holders is permitted pursuant to written authorization or policies enacted by the the administration.

Are you sure? Great, if true.
However, the universitiies should have no “choice” to disarm their students. Students should have the “choice” to go disarmed, if so desired, but they have a God-given right to arm themselves that the Texas State Leg has a hard time understanding or articulating in the law.
