After New York cardiologist Adam Budzikowski complained about new rules requiring him to query his heart patients about their sex lives, the New York chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union lodged a protest.
Why must a cardiologist be force to compile a dossier on his patients sex history, Budzikowski wanted to know. I dont need this information in order to treat my patients. I feel like they are turning me into a sort of Gestapo interrogator. If I dont ask these invasive questions Ill get fined by the IRS.
US Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius defended the questions saying that the struggle for a healthier America requires the full participation of everyone in the healthcare community. Every doctor must extract vital information. Every patient must cooperate by answering truthfully.
Under the Affordable Care Act the government is taking on the primary responsibility for maintaining the heath of every American, Sebelius explained. In order for us to be able to plan for the health needs of everyoneboth in terms of laying out the appropriate therapies individuals will have to submit to and in terms of controlling the overall costswe must know what risks people are taking. As a significant vector for several serious medical conditions, a persons sexual behavior is pertinent information. No one can lawfully refuse to supply it.
Sebelius tried to reassure the ACLU that all of this information will be safely stored in a secure government site and will only be accessed on an as-needed basis by those duly authorized to do so.
In related news, the thousands of Obamacare navigators being hired to implement the programs heath insurance exchanges will not be required to pass a background check. There simply isnt enough time, Sebelius said. We weighed the possibility that persons with a criminal history might be hired and misuse confidential information as relatively minor and worth the risk. Thus far, an estimated $67 million has apparently been stolen from the Obamacare implementation fund.

This doesn’t look like satire to me.
10-4 Fed B itch, that is a big Foxtrot Yankee.
Oh, I know: The ACLU launching any broadside at this hard-left administration. Okay, there it is.
The normally leftist ACLU do have some constitutional beliefs.
I can tell you, no doc for will ask about my sexual frequency, style or preferences. Nor will they ask me about my firearms possessions without an impolite ‘FU Doc’.
Eat your peas....
I’m in health care and it does not look accurate to me at all. I have not seen anything that would require asking these questions.
Secretary Sebelius, which position do you prefer?
Reading that feels like loosening the belt a notch at Thanksgiving Dinner.
I'm not in health care, so I appreciate your information.
'scuse me, what?
Sebelius tried to reassure the ACLU that all of this information will be safely stored in a secure government site and will only be accessed on an as-needed basis by those duly authorized to do so.
umhmm riiiiiight.
And if we don't, what's that bitch Sebelius going to do about it?
Ah, it is satire. Things have gotten to the point where I am inclined to believe the outrageous is real, but it often is nowadays so I suppose I am adapting to that.
That is a good one. The only thing that might bother a lefty... lol
I’m not so sure you’re writing satire anymore .... the last few you’ve put out seemed to hit way too close to home, and in this case feels like the “playbook” for the Obama administration.
In other words, it will be abused at the first opportunity.
First, the liberals ask about sexual activity to desensitize people to such questions.
Second, they ask if you are a homosexual and deny care if you not.
There have been a number of threads here on Free Republic in the last ten days about these mandatory sexual history questions under Obamacare, and those threads, unlike this one, were NOT satire.
