Enter Golden Dawn. They blamed Greece's problems on immigration which is a very real issue that neither main party will address. Golden Dawn bludgeon them with it over and over again. Since the two main parties can't defend themselves on this issue Golden Dawn has attracted more and more support. People fed up with the corrupt system will reach a point where they want something different and they don't care what.
This almost came to pass in Italy where a comedian holds the largest voting block in the Chamber of Deputies. The two main parties put aside their differences to keep his party out of power, thus proving his point about them all being cronies.
Golden Dawn is similar to Nazi, or National Socialist Worker’s Party. In other words, it is NOT “far right” and has nothing to do with conservatism.
But I suspect that they are merely being used as propaganda fodder by the leftists who run things. Otherwise, not much difference between Communists and Nazis.
That is right, and conservatives have been called “Nazis” and even worse names. I know I have been called all kinds of things.

Yours is certainly an interesting perspective, but it perhaps blinds us to this alternate point of view:
The Greeks have a very long history with democracy, and of episodes where that democracy struck out at prominent leaders to its detriment.
The fates of many, including Thucydides, Themistocles, Alcibades, and, perhaps most dramatically, Hippocrates, show definite parallels to the current situation.

I never made any claims that it is a conservative party. I do see that the leftists in this country consider anyone that wants to enforce our immigration laws and see the unemployment rate fall for our own citizens before we bring in millions of unskilled immigrants to the workforce to be “Nazis”.
The Greeks were a monarchy 40 years ago. The democracy of 2,500 years ago has no bearing on operating a successful government today.
I have to side with Pan Yan on this one. Even the so-called golden age of democracy in Athens was interspersed by periods of rule by tyrants, and many cities in ancient Greece, such as Sparta, were never democracies. After that there were more than 2,000 years of rule by Macedonians, Romans, Byzantines and Ottomans.

Hitler basically came into power because of the economic crisis in Germany. The kind of crisis where people are open to the promises of Communists and/or Nazis. They were desperate to try anything, and Hitler promised to fix it.

Be careful what you wish for. As has been pointed out by others, these are not “right” as we know that term here in the US.
If I were forced to make a choice between living under Stalin and living under Hitler I’d be hard pressed to make a quick or satisfactory decision.
A conservative party doesn’t promise to fix problems.
It promises to get out of the way, so you can fix your own problems.
