WASHINGTON Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush cautioned House Republicans on Wednesday to be aware of their limits in the latest fight over funding the government and defunding Obamacare.
House Republicans will vote later this week on a continuing resolution that would fund the government through the end of 2013 and defund the Affordable Care Act to prevent it from being implemented. The Democrat controlled Senate is highly unlikely to vote to defund the healthcare law, and if they take up the bill, they will send it back to the House looking very different. Republicans will then try to muster the votes to pass a clean CR, and kick the fight over Obamacare into the debt ceiling negotiations.
If the House and Senate fail to pass a CR, the government will shut down on October 1.
Asked if the fight to defund Obamacare was worth risking a government shutdown while appearing at an event on education with Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Bush said the law was bad, but Republicans should be practical

Yep, just like in 2008 and 2012. Ironically, conservatives will blame the ‘moderates’, without looking at the mirror. They expect the ‘moderate’ candidate to resign or not attacking their favorite conservative candidate(s).
A man’s gotta know his limitations. But he should also understand his objective.
Fact: The biggest supporters of Free Trade Globalism are also the big supporters of Socialized Medicine, incl ObamaCare. The Bush Klan are all One Worlders who support Socialized Medicine
Hey Jeb you have already reached your limit, now take a hike.
p.s. GO AWAY JEB!!
No, we have enough closet liberals here and getting more everyday.
Oh dear heart. I don’t think it’s inevitable that JEB! wins. But I’m not foolish enough to sit back and let things play out as they did the last two times. Those were just practices for the elites. This time they are serious. It’s about one of their own. Both times before there were people just like you saying, it’s too early to blah, blah, blah and what was the result? Two major league RINOs, Romney and McCain. We need to get serious about this now. It’s never too early to assess the situation and prepare for what’s coming. If we get complacent, we”ll end up with another RINO nominee.
I watched two congressmenon TV standing side by side. The liberal kept saying the republicans won’t negotiate. Chavez kept saying obama said he won’t negotiate. I can’t understand why he didn’t say “You democrats didn’t negotiate when you rammed this stupid law down America’s throat.” They just can’t think on their feet.
Reagan gave us the first Bush. He was forced to.
You should research how much money Perot and his son have gotten from the government. I voted for Perot but I’m now convinced he was just part of the show.
Jeb should know the limits of his influence.
they are not that unhappy with the obamacare law. some are more pissed its a democrat law instead of their swipe at nationalizing hcare. most are scared any criticism will be slammed as racist. pussies and idiots and sellouts and no convictions.
