Whelp. I’ve now improved it to the point where the screen no longer lights up.

Turn the power off.
Have a cup of Tea/Coffee and relax.
Then have a think and a look around the interior.
Then power on.

Well, if it were a TV that would be an improvement considering the vast amount of glop that passes for news, weather, sports, and 'entertainment' over the bazillion TV channels now available that you now won't have to watch..

However, since it is one of those computer type devices and you would like it to, um, you know, work like one, this is a nonsalubrious manifestation..

And since it is one of those Apple thingies, and considering that the last Apple I worked with was a IIc, I'm afraid my pc/IBM/DOS/windoze semiexpertise will be of no help.

Any Mac gurus out there? Nully needs a hand.
