You’re welcome. I hadn’t put any effort into the envelope, so I don’t care if Piper ate it.

Unfortunately she decided that the card and check on the coffee table were fair game as well while I was in the shower.

Did you rescue enough of the check to deposit it, or should I send you another. At least you got to see the card first, sigh.

No it’s in pieces now. Some reiteration of the concept that nothing on the table belongs to her is in order I think.

Blarg. I’ll put a new check in a plain business envelope tomorrow.

That reminds me that we need to practice policing the house for stray stuffed animals, books, and anything else we don’t want shredded.

It wasn’t on the floor or anything. This is the main reason why I’m annoyed.

The coffee table is like the floor, in some ways.

"The coffee table is like the floor, in some ways." Only, the rule for dropped food is at least twice the normal duration, except in the presence of dogs.

Carrier?
SCC-8 Enterprise, newest carrier in the system fleet, does shakedown and systems checkout by Sedna?

Before your time; “The Ship Who Sang”, by Anne McCaffrey, in 1969. Brain installed in ship, ship becomes body. Similar to “Spock’s Brain” episode on Star Trek, original series.
Not the fate I would choose for myself, (which I have already written about — cloned into a younger body, and placed in the care of androids. Tender mercies, yes and no.)
No. What I meant was that I do not suffer from headaches; I distribute them. ‘Tis better to give than to receive.

In the presence of dogs, the food is gone. Also the Hallowe’en card and the check for purchase of decorative spiders and/or ferry rides and bridge crossings. Sigh.

It's also a little crowded with food scraps.

And your mail and the various limbs of various stuffed animals.
Piper tore a leg off Kathleen’s Piglet, and I sewed it back on backwards.

Right. Some animals were a total loss, but Kathleen is attached to Piglet, and it was only the leg.
