LOL, serious face and all?
Completely.
LOL!
“But mom, rabbits and zebra both squeak!”
And they’re animals you don’t keep in the kitchen. It’s typical for my kids to be more interested in the object than in the word for it.
Most kids are, from what I gather.
Niece, my brother’s spawn, will smile at you sweetly and then say something truly...beyond her.
Her older sister and brother were watching a movie and the one character got knocked out.
Older sister and brother were asking if the character was dead.
[Me, “Sure!”]
Alien child niece, “Duh, she’s just unconscious!”*
*she even rolled her eyes at that.
A little something to make your day a little brighter!

Something for you, DC!
Heard about it. My BiL posted it on his Facebook account. He’s a trucker, so he tries to keep up on road conditions/stories like this.
I still hate snow.
That was cute!
Can you post the one of the soldier lip-synching “Call Me Maybe” again? Elen hasn’t seen it.
I had to listen to this all the way through before posting the link! Some days, I just need this!
Here ya go, Elen!

Thanks! That’s even better than extra kittens when too much unnngh is in the atmosphere!
OldTax-lady has offered Tom $500 if he raises his SAT math score by 100 points the next time. I said I’d contribute $100 for each 10 points over +100. Tom asked, “What if I get a perfect score?” I said, “Then you’ll be able to figure out how much I owe you, without a calculator!”
Then he said, “Where’s my test-strategies book?” and I said, “On top of the tv.” I hope not to hear much from him other than “Help me find more math drills” between now and Nov. 2.
Tom has no idea how lucky he is to have so many people care about his skills.
I’ll be curious to see how he does!
If I could get a 730 on the old SAT, which was graded more strictly, Tom is capable of an 800 on this one. All it takes is work.
If he worked as hard on his math as he does his video games, he’d be a shoo-in.
It rained last night, it’s 58 degrees, there is 3”+ of snow on Mt. Charleston, and I still have to dig out my winter clothes!
I also had to turn on the electric mattress pad last night... All y’all are warned...’tis the season to be whiney about the weather!
67 and cloudy here.
It sprinkled when I went to get the wiper blades, but with the arthritis in my hands, and peripheral neuropathy in my fingers, I can’t put them on by myself. Someone will have to do it for me.
It looks like a day where it will rain on and off, all afternoon and into the night.
Sounds like time to sleep.
I wish. Those two weeks I spent away from home have made this place a dumping ground.
I need to do some serious cleaning. Or at least, weeding out. The aide will be here tomorrow, and she needs to work on the living room.
MAYBE, I will get the decorative plates hung on the soffits in the kitchen tomorrow! ;o]
You be careful not to fall!
The aide will do the hanging! I will just tell her where to put them! With my left shoulder still a little stiff from the dislocation last fall, I’m not hanging anything higher than my shoulder.
I’ve been here almost a year, and the decorative plates have sat in the corner, out of the way, waiting for the return of my daughter who PROMISED to be back and hang them...hahahaha!
It would be nice to have them up before Christmas.
