They played this at the funeral. I did not know the decedent, who died from an allergic reaction to a bee sting. I only know his parents.
See? I always have an Epi-Pen with me when the weather is good for bees. Insect stings of any kind cause massive reactions in my system, and I have to be very careful.
I am home for a bit. The Stig and Gladys are happily doing quite well without me, but I will clean them up and refuel them today. That way, all I have to do in the morning is pay the bills and head out for Vegas once more. I will be glad when this is over. At least my vision should be MUCH better when I drive to the airport Saturday night.
I will need to go soon to get something to eat for the next 24 hours, but I have no clue what it will be...
I’m actually not even hungry at the moment. :o|
I will now have to buy some reading glasses...I haven’t done that since I wore contact lenses! :o])
Apparently he’d never been stung, in 46 years, and didn’t know he was allergic. The bee got in their house and stung him in the middle of the night. Very sad. He had a little baby grandson - kind of shocking when someone younger than me has a grandchild!
Golly. I got a bee sting during the night when I was in my 20’s. Seems the bees had a nest in the outside wall of the bedroom and I woke up to find a dead bee in the bed and my left forearm the size of the business end of a softball bat.
As for young grammas, my younger sister was a grandma at 33...
That’s young. 46 isn’t really young: 23 + 23, if nothing else. But it’s still younger than me!
Obamacare lives. Most of the mail I got today was from HMOs and senior care facilities, trying to get me to change allegiance. HAH!
I’ve had the same provider for 13 years...I’m not going to change horses in the middle of the stream. BUT! My SNAP card dropped by $1. I figure in six months, it will drop again.
I make too much money, you see...even though I’m below the poverty level, I make too much for SNAP...
Just got back from Walmart, where I picked up a few little foods and a pair of reading glasses. I can actually SEE the screen! LOL!
I was in my early 40’s when I was a grandma. I thought my son would be the one to provide the grandchild, but my daughter, who was three years younger, did the honors.
My younger sister was 17 when she gave birth, and her daughter was 16 when she gave birth. I hate cyclical things...
Thanks T-c. Yes, gone are the clouds and the Sun is shining. Beautiful song for the dear departed.
A generation Waits. Saw one of them today. Gave Him my full Salute!
Blurry eyed here. May God forgive me. {{HUGS}} Face!
Take the midnight train, I’ll be there!
Search the night.
NtI, I went from 20/750 in my right eye to 20/20 in a 10 minute time span. I am still amazed at the immense blessing I have been given! Now I’m excited to have my left eye done which is “only” 20/625!
I consider this nothing short of a miracle. For the first time in my memory, I have an eye that doesn’t need corrective lenses, except for reading, and that is due to my age!
Tomorrow we shall make it home again.
It’s our Highway Run.
Forever Yours, Faithfully!
I swear no beating around the bush. I vote for two of them. God forgive me! But what could I do Lord?
Why was George H.W. at the School Book Depository on that day, Lord?
That’s great news! I’ve sent Sally outside with James and Vlad to help them sell Cub Scout popcorn. Pat went to “help instruct” them ;-).
Now I need to cook supper.
