43. When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you ‘squeeze’ for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.
They are:
Monday = Blue,
Tuesday = Green,
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new everyday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.
The good news is, they fixed one seatbelt and can replace the other. The bad news is it needs new brakes. Will take it back Wednesday morning, and they said it will be done by the time the boys get home from school.
Good news! So what about the confuser??? Enquiring minds want to know...
I got a metal fragment in my eye yesterday, it feels weird now but I can see okay (well, my eyesight wasn’t great before either). No doctors needed. Or for my back which I hurt the other day and my finger which has a bit of a gash but stopped bleeding.
This is actually a normal week, lol, I am just a bad luck magnet
Nothing. At least the vacuum and washer are still working.
They didn’t all happen on Friday, did they? It was the 13th, you know!
I hope everything is healing OK. I was going to add, “and that you’re back to normal soon,” but you never were normal, right? Just like the rest of us! LOL!
bump
Nope, I was never too normal I guess. lol
So how are things going on the house restoration?
Going slow. The tree trimmers nearly crushed the fence and the neighbors house yesterday. Got the metal fragment in my “good” eye.
I have no idea when the electricians are going to finish up, they have so little left to do.
The tree trimmers are going to do the plumbing I heard, since Juan Sanchez never showed up. Yes, those tree trimmers mentioned earlier.
what could possibly go wrong?
Your optimism excites me! I mean, in the face of all THIS, you still have a sense of humor! Way to GO!
You said this wasn’t even your house? What, pray, tell, are you acting the overseer for? Of course, it’s none of my business, but I AM curious!
;o]
Nah, hard times. I am staying with my sister and brother-in-law.. she does want my kidney of course. Not as bad as an arm and a leg.
Ah. Makes sense, then. Good ON ya! We do what we need to do to make things work, and they are lucky to have you!
*hug*
well, its noon. No carpenter/tree cutter/plumber yet. No electrician, no inspector to let us turn on the power.
Someone is not doing their job if you ask me.
lol
I am the dog sitter, house sitter, helper and a bunch of other stuff right now. The only gun around right now is a Snake Slayer, which I guess is enough.
As long as you can find something to do during those long moments of absolute boredom, you will find the moments of sheer, abject manic activity refreshing.
My family (there were seven of us to begin with, but now there are five) have always been so spread out, in years and distance that no one is close to anyone. I try to maintain communication with them all, because I think it’s what my parents taught me to do.
The sibs, however, are not of the same mind, so while I would do what I can to help each and every one of them, no holds barred, no questions asked, none of them feel the same when it comes to me.
So I think you are pretty doggone awesome, and would love to have you for a brother, just because you would be such an asset!
Free republic
lol
and subtitled Korean dramas online
LOL!
Well, if you understand Korean, I say, More Power TO ya!
That is what subtitles are for.
I do get more Korean than Spanish now, and I live in Texas. lol.
I’m like you, if I won the lottery everyone related to me would benefit, heck friends would benefit too.
I wonder how many of them would share with me?
lol
