Testimony from victims now strongly suggests it was the rebels, not the Syrian government, that used Sarin Nerve Gas during a recent incident in the revolution-wracked nation, a senior UN diplomat said Monday. Carla del Ponte, a member of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, told Swiss TV there were strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof, that rebels seeking to oust Syrian President Bashar al-Assad had used the nerve agent. But she said her panel had not yet seen any evidence of Syrian government forces using chemical weapons (CW), according to the BBC, she added that more investigation was needed. Damascus is facing growing Western accusations that its forces used such weapons, which US President Obama has described as crossing a Red Line. But Ms. del Pontes remarks may serve to shift the focus of international concern.

Smack Assad, and bomb Iran. I would add blow up the Islamist rebels but still that’s a plan worth looking at!
FIRE! Aim. Ready.
But...but...Joe Biden said.....
It was originally in Washington Times.

Not quite MSM, but second tier.
It’s sad, but I trust Putin and this UN official more than I trust the US President.
Obama and Assad are both pathological liars. Since a VX gas attack makes absolutely no sense, I even believe Assad over Obama.
Sarin is not that difficult to deliver. The relatively low number of fatalities speaks to a inefficient system.
I know instinctively I'm against the French and John Fn Kerry.
From May 6 of this year.
This is OLD NEWS.
It's a repeat of a May 6, 2013 story.

The most recent nerve gas attack -- the one that is calling out the dogs of war -- was on August 26.
You beat me to it.
Buried by the MSM here but not the media elsewhere. Some of the British press is still independent. And I am surprised to say, the Russian press is not part of the Obama clique.
You are welcome!

Note the date on the article.
When dealing with muslims, there are no rules of civilized behavior.
“This is old news”
Correct! At the same time was this front page news at the time - nup - I hear crickets!
Given that the rebels have done it once what is the likelihood that it was them again? Pretty high I would say.
If the rebels did it the first time and the Army did it the second time then how do we choose who to support? Or the real question would be - How can we support either?
So old news is telling us a story that Obama/Kerry, England and France may be choosing to ignore for the sake of their own plans/agenda
Cheers
Mel
Only if you believe that the delivery system was actually "sophisticated" missiles.
There are two problems with that assumption, but I'll let the proponents chew on it. Why should someone else do all the thinking?
My suspicions of Obama’s veracity are unchanged as well.
Exactly what makes the delivery of Sarin gas too difficult for rebel fighters?
If you dont think the FSA or rebel fighters dont have many of the same weapons as Assad troops, you arent paying attention. DIY weapons and delivery systems are being used by both sides in this conflict. Rebels have captured whole towns, including stock piles.
Here’s some interesting analysis.

I agree, time to get the US back, but don’t worry about Israel, God has a plan, it will come to pass. Focus on the homefront for the time being.
